College Basketball "off-season" Thread (players leaving/coaching changes/recruiting)

I think Mike is sayin they'll be ok, but not turnin into anythin elite..

(GA Tech was respectable that year, and NCAA team and I think they made the 2nd round.)

Wake probably falls anywhere between a 6-11 seed...which is where 4th or 5th in the ACC should be

Katz's Post Draft, Top 25

1. North Carolina
The Tar Heels will be the consensus No. 1 team. If there is a poll and the Tar Heels aren't the No. 1 team, it will be a complete shock or someone will bedoing it simply for the shock value. No other team will return as much talent as the Tar Heels. The team will remain essentially intact from its run to theFinal Four. A number of other elite teams suffered through a defection or two or three. UNC did not. The Tar Heels will have power presence inside withTyler Hansbrough and Deon Thompson, a lead guard in Ty Lawson, shooting wings in Wayne Ellington and Danny Green and plenty of pop off the bench. Coach Roy Williams and the Tar Heel nationshould have fun with this crew. Start printing the tickets for the 2009 Final Four in Detroit.
221.gif
2. Pitt
The hint of Mike Cook coming back for a sixth year (after tearing his ACL inDecember) makes the Panthers even more formidable. Sam Young and DeJuan Blair are big-time bigs, and Levance Fields might be as good a floor leader as anyone in the country. This Pitt team couldwin the national title.

26.gif
3. UCLA
Don't cry for UCLA because it lost Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook to the NBA draft. Getting back Darren Collison at the point, Josh Shipp on the wing and the No. 1 recruiting class with a little bit of everything --scoring, floor leadership and rebounding -- make a fourth straight Final Four a legitimate goal.

87.gif
4. Notre Dame
Luke Harangody won the Big East Player of the Year award. For whatever reason, thatfact gets lost sometimes. Harangody has a chance to repeat the honor after not even sniffing the NBA early-entry process. Add Gody back with guard Kyle McAlarney and a host of solid role players, and the Irish are a lock for a top-four BigEast finish and a solid NCAA seed once again. Mike Brey has this program on solid footing.

97.gif
5. Louisville
The Cardinals relied on David Padgett to be the glue for this squad and did runplenty of offense through him. But he is hardly irreplaceable. Earl Clark shouldshine next to incoming freshman Samardo Samuels, and the backcourt isback with Jerry Smith and Edgar Sosa ready to lead the Cards to yet another Big East top-three finish.

150.gif
6. Duke
Coach Mike Krzyzewski is raving about how experienced his squad will be next season. The only departures were senior DeMarcus Nelson and freshman Taylor King (transferred to Villanova). Kyle Singler and GeraldHenderson have a chance to be real Duke stars next season. And there is plenty of experience on the squad with Greg Paulus, JonScheyer, Lance Thomas and David McClure. The addition of incoming freshman Miles Plumlee will help the depth upfront. Duke won 28 games last season. There's no reason to believe they can't come close to that again.

235.gif
7. Memphis
The Tigers will have a legitimate shot to reach a third-straight Elite Eight with RobertDozier, Antonio Anderson and Shawn Taggart anchoring a team that brings in a stellar recruiting class led by Tyreke Evans and the latest pickup in former Nebraska signee Roburt Sallie. Losing Derrick Rose, ChrisDouglas-Roberts and Joey Dorsey will change the moxie of this team -- and itsprimary scoring options -- but the Tigers are still the team to beat in Conference USA.

2390.gif
8. Miami (Fla.)
The Hurricanes should be a top-10 team in the country and a top-three squad in the ACC. There really is no excuse if they're not. Jack McClinton might be one of the top guards in the nation next season. Dwayne Collins is a legit scorer in the post. The role players were all solid last season. And Miami has the experience of going to the NCAA tournament and winning a game.

2250.gif
9. Gonzaga
The Zags got great news when Jeremy Pargo decided to return for his senior seasonMonday. Pargo's return means the Zags have a legit shot to be a top-10 team. The Zags should be an offensively charged team with Pargo, Matt Bouldin, AustinDaye, Steven Gray and Josh Heytvelt all capable of scoring 20 on a given night. If Heytvelt can once again be adominant low-post player, the Zags will have all the pieces in place to make a deep NCAA run. They have to be a better defensive team than they were lastseason, but they maybe one of the most experienced teams in the West.

2509.gif
10. Purdue
The only offseason hiccup for this overachieving squad in the spring was the surprising transfer of Scott Martin to Notre Dame. The return of E'Twaun Moore and Robbie Hummel gives the Boilermakers a 1-2 punch that made them the second-best team in theBig Ten last season. Purdue will enter this season, though, as the Big Ten favorite, and it will be interesting to see how the Boilermakers handle that kind ofa target.

127.gif
11. Michigan State
Drew Neitzel was too important to this team and this program the past two years todismiss his departure as no big deal. The Spartans will have a huge leadership void to fill. The talent is certainly there to make another run toward a Big Tentitle and a second-weekend appearance in the NCAAs. Raymar Morgan will be the go-toguy, and the addition of newcomer Delvon Roe makes the Spartans aformidable force inside. The question will be, can someone like Kalin Lucas be theprimary perimeter threat? There's no reason to believe Tom Izzo won't have this squad ready for a run toward the 2009 Final Four in Detroit.

9.gif
12. Arizona State
Herb Sendek's rebuilding phase is nearly complete. Now he just has to get the Sun Devils into the NCAA tournament. That shouldn't be an issue since ASUshould be the second-best team in the Pac-10. The return of James Harden and Jeff Pendergraph gives the Sun Devils two of the top scorers in the league. Playing ASUcontinues to be a grind for every opponent. ASU won't have to beg or convince anyone about a bid in March. Pencil the Sun Devils in now.

251.gif
13. Texas
The Longhorns received good news Monday when shooting guard A.J. Abrams decided to goback to Austin. Abrams was looking at possibly going undrafted, so this move made sense. The Longhorns will desperately miss point guard .J. Augustin, who did leave for the draft. But don't fret. With Abrams and rising starsDamion James and Justin Mason, Texas is still good enough to win the Big 12. The inside game is solid, even ifit doesn't have a big-time star just yet. Rising sophomore forward Gary Johnsoncould be that for Texas next season.

269.gif
14. Marquette
New coach Buzz Williams got a gold mine of a job. He comes into a gig with a team that is fully loaded with one of the most experienced backcourts in thecountry. Dominic James, Jerel McNeal and WesleyMatthews are talented enough to take this squad deep into March. If Lazar Haywardcan be a much-improved post player, then playing into April is not out of the question.

41.gif
15. Connecticut
The Huskies might not be through with spring attrition (Stanley Robinson could be thenext one to depart), but there are still enough pieces in play here for UConn to be a force. Hasheem Thabeet could potentially be the most dominant defensive presence north of Jarvis Varnado (Mississippi State), Jeff Adrien is an experienced leader up front and the guard play of a healthy A.J. Price (coming off an ACL tear) and a shooter in Jerome Dyson (as long as he doesn't get into any more trouble) make UConn a threat. Theadditions of guard Kemba Walker, forward Nate Miles and Ater Majok give Jim Calhoun plenty of backup options to hang over hisreturnees' heads.

201.gif
16. Oklahoma
The Sooners might have one of the top draft picks on their roster next season in BlakeGriffin. He has a chance to bully his way in the post toward a Big 12 player of the year award. Add in the return of shooting guard Tony Crocker and a solid recruiting class, and the Sooners can legitimately challenge for theleague title.

2633.gif
17. Tennessee
The Vols took a hit with seniors (JaJuan Smith and Chris Lofton) and attrition (Ramar Smith and DukeCrews were kicked off the team). But there is still plenty of talent left with TylerSmith, J.P. Prince and an outstanding recruiting class led by Scotty Hopson to keep the Vols atop the SEC. They will get plenty of challengesfrom a host of schools in the league. But it's still going to be hard to knock them off their perch.

222.gif
18. Villanova
The Wildcats ended up as one of the last teams in the NCAA field, yet made it to the Sweet 16. That was no accident. This squad was just a bit inexperiencedbut still very talented. The core of this team is back, and that means the Cats won't be a .500 club in the Big East. They shouldn't have to sweat outSelection Sunday, either.

12.gif
19. Arizona
The Wildcats leaped into the Top 25 once Chase Budinger decided to go back to school. Now, coach Lute Olson has a go-to guy in Budinger, who could be a star next season, a lead guard in incoming freshman Brandon Jennings, a tough combo guard in Nic Wise and a legit defensive presence in Jordan Hill. Stability has returned to Tucson, at least for the time being, withBudinger's return.

277.gif
20. West Virginia
Joe Alexander was adamant that even without him, the Mountaineers have a shot to makea deep March run. Now that he's staying in the draft, we'll see whether he is right. The additions of Devin Ebanks and Kevin Jones give West Virginia more opportunities to score. The returnees -- Alex Ruoff, JoeMazzulla and Da'Sean Butler -- are all well-schooled in the Bob Huggins'system. This squad is going to be in the thick of the Big East race.

239.gif
21. Baylor
The Bears return essentially intact, save Aaron Bruce. And that means Baylor -- yes,Baylor -- enters the season as one of the top teams in the Big 12. Winning the Big 12 isn't out of the question. Seriously, the Bears, with a 1-2 punch ofCurtis Jerrells and LaceDarius Dunn, have enough scoring -- and now experience -- to make a run at the leaguetitle.

275.gif
22. Wisconsin
Never, ever doubt Bo Ryan. The Badgers are always going to be in the thick of the Big Ten race with this man in charge. OK, so they lost the big Polar Bear inBrian Butch and defensive gem Michael Flowers. Next! Marcus Landry will probably be the next featured stud, and the likely leadership of Trevon Hughes will once again steer this team toward the top of the conference and into theNCAAs.

2305.gif
23. Kansas
The defending national champs lose Brandon Rush, Mario Chalmers, DarrellArthur, Darnell Jackson, Russell Robinson, SashaKaun and Rodrick Stewart from the team. So, what are they doing here? This iscalled a good-faith pick. Sherron Collins returns, and he'll start out aspossibly the top guard in the Big 12. If you watched the Final Four, you saw that ColeAldrich can be a solid contributor once he gets the minutes. And the recruiting class that goes seven deep -- led by the Morris twins, Marcus and Markieff -- should contribute right away.

2166.gif
24. Davidson
The darlings of the NCAA aren't going away. The Wildcats are here to stay, at least for another season as Stephen Curry continues to be the most dominant player -- even if he looks like one of theslightest -- in the Southern Conference. Curry won't have his backcourt mate in JasonRichards, but Andrew Lovedale is back to balance the team with solid post play.Coach Bob McKillop will have this team ready to win the SoCon and be one of the toughest outs in the NCAA once again.

154.gif
25. Wake Forest
The Demon Deacons should have been in the NIT with a 7-9 ACC record and a nonconference win over BYU. Coach Dino Gaudio's crew returns nearly intact withsolid scorers in James Johnson and Jeff Teague joining a stellar big-man recruiting class of Tony Woods, Ty Walker and Al-Farouq Aminu. If everyone meshes early enough, the Demon Deacons could be oneof the surprise teams that stays in the Top 25 all season long.

Also under consideration: Georgetown, USC, Florida, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Syracuse, Saint Mary's, San Diego, Oklahoma State, UAB,BYU, UNLV, UTEP, Mississippi State, Alabama and Kentucky.

Gtech finished 20-12 that year 7th in the acc with some big wins and a 1st round exit. and they returned like 3 starters who was putting up numbers the yearbefore and when the 2 FR came they lost shots and didnt do #$#@.

ya im pretty much saying wake wont be elite like i see some people saying they will

And it's rather dumb..

Miami 8? Jack is still a chucker and 1 dimensional and not making any team a serious threat.

Syracuse is a top 25 team..

How the hell does Mike Cook possibly get a 6th year? He got hurt, it happens...deal with it

UCLA's freshman must be pretty special, cause Collison and Ship being the big two pieces...not seein a Top 5 team...Pac 10 will be down tho.

Mike Brey is a joke and outside of home games have that team underachieving and getting an early exit. Somehow he's won COY in the BE TWICE
roll.gif
indifferent.gif

Evans better be able to score for Memphis cause they'll miss CDR and Rose big time on the offense end.

JT3, Donovan and Lon Kruger in the 'Next' list..they'd get their teams to outplay a bunch of those on the Top 25 and will be in the Top 25 for mostof the season.

Lastly,Robinson comes back and UCONN is my pick to win it all pre season...Brandon Rush tore his ACL same time last season and he was back, why can't AJ?

Thabeet made huge strides last year and if he does the same, that frontline is too much to handle and if AJ is making plays..they'll be set. I only worryabout Dyson fitting in and finding his role.

2007-08 Resume: 36-3, lost to Kansas in Final Four
Honestly, there's really no other option as the preseason No. 1. The Tar Heels will return their top six scorers and also add three quality freshmen to themix. National Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough is back for his senior season and the trio of Ty Lawson, Wayne Ellington and Danny Green each opted to returnto school after testing the NBA waters. Roy Williams will also have junior big man Deon Thompson, defensive-minded wing Marcus Ginyard and he'll welcomethe return of reserve guard Bobby Frasor from a knee injury. The loss of Alex Stepheson (transfer) shouldn't hurt much, if at all, with the addition offreshmen forwards Ed Davis and Tyler Zeller.
2. Michigan State
2007-08 Resume: 27-9, lost to Memphis in Sweet 16
The Spartans lost guard Drew Neitzel and big man Drew Naymick, but coach Tom Izzo has plenty coming back and also will add one of the nation's mosttalented freshmen in athletic forward Delvon Roe. Guards Kalin Lucas, Travis Walton and Chris Allen all return, as does forward Raymar Morgan and big guysGoran Suton and Marquise Gray. Izzo will also have athletic wing Durrell Summers and freshman guard Korie Lucious in the mix.
3. Connecticut
2007-08 Resume: 24-9, lost to San Diego in 1st round of NCAA Tournament
With Hasheem Thabeet's decision to return to school, the Huskies became legitimate Final Four contenders. Jim Calhoun's team will still have guardsA.J. Price and Jerome Dyson back, and Jeff Adrien and Thabeet as returning starters in the frontcourt. The key is whether Price can come back healthy from atorn ACL he suffered in the NCAA Tournament. If he can, UConn is the Big East favorites. If not, it'd be difficult to imagine the Huskies going far havingto rely on freshman Kemba Walker to run the team. Along with Walker, the Huskies will also add talented and enigmatic freshman wing Nate Miles and powerforward Ater Majok.
4. Duke
2007-08 Resume: 28-6, lost to West Virginia in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
The Blue Devils' lone critical loss was that of senior guard DeMarcus Nelson, but after watching him in the NCAA Tournament, it's not really all thatbig of a deal - especially with the addition of talented freshman guard Elliott Williams. Duke brings back four starters - Greg Paulus, Gerald Henderson Jr.,Kyle Singler and Lance Thomas - as well as sixth man Jon Scheyer, guard Nolan Smith and 7-footer Brian Zoubek. The one issue is that Mike Krzyzewski won'tadd a legitimate power guy down low this season - although freshmen Olek Czyz and Miles Plumlee may help.
5. Gonzaga
2007-08 Resume: 25-8, lost to Davidson in 1st round of NCAA Tournament
The 'Zags return nearly their entire team - starting guards Jeremy Pargo, who decided to return after testing the waters, and Matt Bouldin as well as bigmen Josh Heytvelt and Austin Daye. Toss in Micah Downs and give big-time shooter Steven Gray a full season, and Mark Few's team has all the pieces to beamong the nation's elite next season. The 'Zags also add a solid three-man freshmen class that includes a pair of hard-nosed guards in Demetri Goodsonand Grant Gibbs as well as talented big man Andy Poling.
6. Louisville
2007-08 Resume: 27-9, lost to North Carolina in Elite Eight of NCAA Tournament
Senior David Padgett is gone and will be difficult to replace, but Rick Pitino got huge news when versatile forward Earl Clark did an about-face and decided toreturn to school. The Cardinals will also have Terrence Williams, Jerry Smith, Andre McGee and Edgar Sosa back, but the key for Pitino may be the departure ofDerrick Caracter - which should help the team chemistry. Reginald Delk is eligible after sitting out and Louisville will add arguably the best big man in thecountry in freshman Samardo Samuels.
7. Notre Dame
2007-08 Resume: 25-8, lost to Washington State in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
The Irish return everyone except senior forward Rob Kurz. Mike Brey's club brings back Big East Player of the Year Luke Harangody and the startingbackcourt of Tory Jackson and Kyle McAlarney. Throw in role guys like Ryan Ayers, Zach Hillesland and Luke Zeller, and the Irish have all the pieces next yearto compete for the Big East title.
8. UCLA
2007-08 Resume: 35-4, lost to Memphis in Final Four
The Bruins lost its two most talented players in Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook and also watched as Luc Mbah a Moute pulled a shocker and left early for theNBA as well, but Ben Howland still returns plenty of experience with Darren Collison, Josh Shipp and Alfred Aboya. UCLA will also add in arguably the topfreshman class in the nation with guards Jrue Holiday, Malcolm Lee and Jerime Anderson in addition to late signee J'Mison "Bobo" Morgan, a6-foot-10 center who initially signed with LSU, and fellow big man Drew Gordon.
9. Purdue
2007-08 Resume: 25-9, lost to Xavier in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
The young Boilermakers weren't supposed to even get to the Big Dance this year. Instead, they got an NCAA Tournament win. The freshman class of E'TwaunMoore, Robbie Hummel and JaJuan Johnson has a year under their belt, and Matt Painter brings back everyone except for freshman Scott Martin (transferred) andhis backup point guard. Keaton Grant and Chris Kramer are terrific role players and Painter also adds a potential starting floor leader in speedy LewisJackson.
10. Pittsburgh
2007-08 Resume: 27-10, lost to Michigan State in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
The Panthers lose senior guards Ronald Ramon and Keith Benjamin. While both are replaceable, Jamie Dixon will need to find someone who can shoot the ball fromthe perimeter. Pittsburgh has point guard Levance Fields back and healthy and Sam Young and DeJuan Blair are a force up front, while guys like Gilbert Brownand Tyrell Biggs showed flashes a year ago. There is still hope that wing Mike Cook will be granted another year of eligibility by the NCAA.
11. Tennessee
2007-08 Resume: 31-5, lost to Louisville in Sweet 16
Chris Lofton and JaJuan Smith graduated and Duke Crews and Ramar Smith were kicked off the team, but the Vols should still be at or near the top of the SEC.Bruce Pearl still has versatile forward Tyler Smith, big man Wayne Chism, talented freshman wing Scotty Hopson, explosive junior college guard Bobby Maze andJ.P. Prince in the fold. The question comes down to whether Maze can upgrade the team's point guard woes from a year ago.
12. Texas
2007-08 Resume: 31-7, lost to Memphis in Elite Eight
D.J. Augustin left after his sophomore season and the Longhorns will have difficulty filling the void. In fact, Rick Barnes doesn't have a naturalreplacement for Augustin. The favorite to take over the duties is Turkish floor leader Dogus Balbay. We've seen him numerous times before and whilehe's solid, it's difficult to imagine him carrying the Longhorns to the Final Four. However, Balbay will have plenty of talent around him with A.J.Abrams, Damion James, Connor Atchley, Justin Mason and Gary Johnson. Rick Barnes also adds talented freshman J'Covan Brown to the fold.
13. Georgetown
2007-08 Resume: 28-6, lost to Davidson in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
The Hoyas lose plenty of experience with the departure of four seniors, including starting point guard Jonathan Wallace and 7-foot-2 center Roy Hibbert, aswell as defensive-minded guard Jeremiah Rivers (transfer to Indiana). However, John Thompson III will have Dajuan Summers back, and he'll have a far moreathletic group. Jessie Sapp and Austin Freeman return in the backcourt, and look for Chris Wright to take the reins from Wallace as the starting point guard. The Hoyas also add a strong recruiting class led by the consensus No. 1 player in skilled big man Greg Monroe.
14. Memphis
2007-08 Resume: 38-2, lost in national title game
The Tigers lost as much as just about anyone in the country with the departure of Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Joey Dorsey and Doneal Mack (transfer) -as well as two assistant coaches. However, John Calipari will still have holdovers Antonio Anderson, Robert Dozier, Willie Kemp and Shawn Taggart - as well asa talented freshman class that includes highly touted guard Tyreke Evans and a pair of frontcourt players in Matt Simpkins and Angel Garcia. Don't besurprised if late signee Roburt Sallie makes an immediate impact.
15. Miami
2007-08 Resume: 23-11, lost to Texas in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
The Hurricanes return their top five scorers, and Frank Haith's only loss is that of big man Anthony King. Leading scorer Jack McClinton is back for hissenior campaign, and he'll have plenty of help with James Dews, Brian Asbury, Lance Hurdle and big men Dwayne Collins and Jimmy Graham. Don't besurprised if wing DeQuan Jones comes in and makes an immediate impact as a freshman.
16. Arizona State
2007-08 Resume: 21-13, lost to Florida in NIT
Herb Sendek will return freshman shooting guard James Harden, big man Jeff Pendergraph, Ty Abbott and Jamelle McMillan. That's a pretty impressive core tobuild around. The Sun Devils were one of the final teams left out of the NCAA Tournament this past season, but don't expect a repeat this year.
17. Villanova
2007-08 Resume: 22-13, lost to Kansas in Sweet 16
Jay Wright's club wasn't supposed to be in the Sweet 16 after being on the verge of getting into the Big East Tournament late in the year, but theyoung kids matured down the stretch, and the Wildcats return just about everyone. Wright has quality guards with Scottie Reynolds, Corey Stokes and CoreyFisher and solid frontcourt guys with Dante Cunningham, Shane Clark, Dwayne Anderson and Antonio Pena.

Senior point guard Dominic James will look to lead Marquette to a Big East championship and another NCAA Tournament bid next season. ( / Getty Images)
18. Marquette
2007-08 Resume: 25-10, lost to Stanford in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
Buzz Williams takes over for Tom Crean, and he'll have four starters back in the fold. Dominic James, Jerel McNeal and Wesley Matthews will all be seniors, and Lazar Hayward came on strong in his sophomore campaign. The key could be whether talented and athletic forward Trevor Mbakwe lives up to his potential, because the Golden Eagles need some help up front. Williams also speaks highly of Texan freshman big man Chris Otule.
19. Florida
2007-08 Resume: 24-12, lost to UMass in NIT semis
The young Gators will build around versatile guard Nick Calathes, who had a terrific freshman campaign. The Gators won't just be a year older - they'llalso get some reinforcements with the addition of a strong freshman class that includes Eloy Vargas, Allan Chaney, Kenneth Kadji and Ray Shipman. MarreeseSpeights is history, but it's not all that much of a hit. There's no reason to think Billy Donovan's team can't challenge for the SEC crown.
20. USC
2007-08 Resume: 21-12, lost to Kansas State in 1st round of NCAA Tournament
Tim Floyd loses a pair of one-and-done guys with Mayo and Jefferson, but he'll add another in Demar DeRozan - maybe the freshman with the most NBApotential in the entire country. The Trojans will also have Taj Gibson back, as well as guards Daniel Hackett and Angelo Johnson and wing Dwight Lewis.
21. Wake Forest
2007-08 Resume: 17-13
This is one that may surprise some, but the Demon Deacons return everyone on the entire team and also bring in three of the Top 50 freshmen in the country -athletic forward Al-Farouq Aminu, big man Ty Walker and Tony Woods. Dino Gaudio will have Ishmael Smith and Jeff Teague in the backcourt and the league'stop freshman, James Johnson, back in the fold, and they'll all be a year older.
22. Oklahoma
2007-08 Resume: 23-12, lost to Louisville in 2nd round of NCAA Tournament
Blake Griffin could have been a lottery pick, but he chose to return for his sophomore campaign. He'll be joined by talented and enigmatic freshman WillieWarren. The Sooners will also return Tony Crocker, Griffin's older brother, Taylor, and UCLA transfer forward Ryan Wright will be eligible.
23. Wisconsin
2007-08 Resume: 31-5, lost to Davidson in Sweet 16
It's difficult to leave any Bo Ryan-coached squad out of the equation, no matter who he brings back. Brian Butch may be gone, but the Badgers still haveTrevon Hughes and role guys such as Marcus Landry, Joe Krabbenhoft and Jason Bohannon.
24. Arizona
2007-08 Resume: 19-15, lost to West Virginia in 1st round
Last year was a complete mess. Lute Olson is back after taking last season off due to personal reasons and he's vowed to return to the up-tempo style hebrought to Tucson more than two decades ago. Jerryd Bayless may be gone, but the Wildcats return Chase Budinger, Jordan Hill, Nic Wise and bring in arguablythe top freshman in the country in point guard Brandon Jennings.
25. Syracuse
2007-08 Resume: 21-14, lost to UMass in NIT
Donte Greene left early, but the Orange return the core of last year's team with point guard Jonny Flynn, Paul Harris, Arinze Onuaku, Scoop Jardine andRick Jackson. Jim Boeheim will also get Eric Devendorf and Andy Rautins back from season-ending injuries.
15 more to watch
..

And MSU will be a better team without Neitzel, all he did was slow them down towards the end of the year.

If Keno Davis is as good as he was last year, Providence will be tough with the talent they have...thing is with them, the BE will just be too tough

Nope. Unless Larry improves drastically. I dont see it happening. Dont let the McD's invite fool you.
Yeah, I didn't really see the kid to much. But he will be an upgrade over Frasor off of ACL surgery, no??? I mean, w/ the up and down offense, you need a PG that can run. Im not sure how much bobby is gonna be able to give those ({})'s in Baby Blue. I'm sure the ACL injury took some of hisathleticism away....

Frasor is/was a bum to me.

When your minutes almost get cut in half after your freshman season, that says something...

A healthy Lawson, and he'll be going 35+ in any important game.

Malik Story will not be coming to Georgetown.

I don't think an offer even got extended to him

Brandon Rush tore his ACL same time last season and he was back, why can't AJ?
He didn't come back at the very beginning and even when he did he was like 85%. Now imagine your point guard who is constantly pushing theball up the court and handling it more than anyone with a knee that's 85%. I'm extremely happy we got Kemba though. I think dude is gonna put inserious work next year.
Frasor is/was a bum to me.
Dude is a charity cause. Absolutely bum material. Paulus >>>>>> Frasor, and dudes already know how much I dislike Paulus.
Fox Sports own version...

...is trash upon first look (the top 5 is not of my liking one bit) but overall might be better than Katz's when I think about it.

Watch out for the Dores.

#13 best class according to ESPN. We won't have senior leadership, but at least they will have talent.

I understand what you're saying but Frasor is a solid contributer. He plays his role well. The knee injury could be a problem. Really I dont see Tycoming off the court much anyways. As far as LD. I see him on the daily damn near. I just dont see it right now. I am not ruling out that Roy can develop himwhen he steps on campus. I expect it to happen. I just dont see what people expect him to be. Again that can change when he arrives on campus

I see him on the daily damn near. I just dont see it right now. I am not ruling out that Roy can develop him when he steps on campus. I expect it to happen. I just dont see what people expect him to be. Again that can change when he arrives on campus

Cool. Thats what's hood.

Will he be able to shoot next year? But uh...They should've had McNeal up there...He is the goods...

You can't be serious calling Paulus better than Frasor. Paulus has started at duke for 3 years now and has only been able to improve his shot. He came intoschool a tough physical guard, now he is a joke. Frasor could start at pg at most of the acc schools except UNC. He was one if UNC's better on the balldefenders last year and was playing really good when he tore his ACL last year. Larry Drew will have time to develop at UNC, but this past year at a Xmastourney gave John Wall all he wanted and pretty much played him to a draw.

Emmanual Negedu is going to Tennessee.

Ehhh...

Only teams I see Frasor competing for a starting spot at are NC State and GT (maybe).
