Russell Simmons has stated numerous times that he considered Trump a friend yet he has openly opposed some of his views, if he decided to take a meeting with Trump would he also be called a tap dancing **** also for trying to leverage his celebrity and power to accomplish something with the president elect?
This ***** is already president at this point, so unless ya'll are expecting Kanye to start a self sustained black political party what is the better option, completely ignore the problem?
In my personal belief Trump ain't gonna change **** to help the black community, just like every president before him hasn't done **** to truly help the black community. Americas system literally relied on oppressed blacks to build it & that status quo will remain no matter who's in office. So trust me i see why to many this is a pointless meeting, However if your someone who still believes that this American system can be fixed i can also see why sitting down with the soon to be president of the United states would be a good idea.

Im assuming he didn't because both of the candidates were subpar, but nonetheless a presidency will still go on and we constantly knock ALL celebs for not attempting to do anything, i'm not gonna get up in arms about him atleast attempting to get some points across.

I just think in a lot of cases dudes let their opinion of a person cloud the actual action done by a person... When people were tired of Ye *****ing about clothing i vividly remember people asking why doesn't he use that same energy for **** that really matters, he does that and now he's a **** who wants to be a flunky for Trump.
The dude is flawed as ****, he contradicts himself from time to time clearly. However a lot of this backlash behind this specific move is based solely off public perception rather than the actual action of taking the meeting.
Either way the point is he's just a celeb & this story should have never picked up this much steam, however a whole election was just won off propaganda & outlandish statements, so maybe i'm wrong for thinking celebrity shouldn't dominate politics
