The fact you think your retort makes sense is hilarious
But you’ll never get your answer proving exactly what I said.

I guess it is hilarious if you think different.
Are you under the impression that he saves this material for his specials and may or may not perform this stuff for his regular crowd?
No not at all.

His last recent special wasn’t even standup material.
Now I'm no showbiz type, but it seems like it'd make sense to put your strongest material in your filmed specials and then repeat said strongest material or some variation of said material to the crowd at your regular shows.
He does the shows to work out his material for when he does do a special.

If you think his recent shows consist of what his recent special was about I don’t know what to tell you.

One of the Wayans bros was just talking about this special not really being a comedy special anyway
You wanna talk about things that make no sense? Believing that his material in his regular shows deviates significantly from his specials.
I guess if you think Dave is still doing the same jokes from The Closer or What’s In A Name you’d have a point

Once a special comes out the comedian starts working out new mateiral:lol:

Do you think he is still telling jokes from Killing Me Softly?
Also have you been to one of his performances recently? I feel like your argument's validity is contingent upon this.
No I watched a recorded vid of one of his recent shows before What’s In A Name. Right around the time he got tackled by that guy who got curb stomped.

He was not giving that speech to the crowd as standup.

Which would make buddy question valid

I like a good amount of his trans jokes but they kinda messed up the Closer. The dope thing about Dave's specials is he usually riffs on good variety of topics.

Just watched Burr's 2021 special on NFLX.

Did folks complain about that one?
He's got alot of bad reviews cuz he kinda still is trashing women & feminism (it's bout half his special)

It takes 10-12 min but he gets into his pocket (that he's famous for) but he def shoulda ended a good 10-14 min earlier

But you couldn’t answer that here when all ppl are doing is talking about his most recent speech “special”

Thread has been dominated by trans talk/Dave criticism.
Dudes was penning essays for minute points

I wonder when that venue originally scheduled the event with Dave.
Nah nah nah don't you see not only is Dave's art VIOLENCE.

The mere act of booking Dave to perform his comedy was also a VIOLENT action.

And they are going to have to figure out how heal the those wounded by their comedy booking choices.

Like you said, why folks aren't getting on them for even scheduling him in the first place.

But they instantly get credit for cancelling. (I GET it)

Dave's a master story teller

He told the story about how he got to Duke Ellington, his time there, and how it impacted his career

Insightful with mix of comedy from a master story teller

As for the cancellation, the venue upheld the "integrity" of its staff and itself, all it cost them was having to pretend that they can guarantee a venue in the future

What would motivate Dave to stop making trans jokes when all the audiences find it funny and the people that don't keep watching the specials to get mad and talk about it anyways?

Nothing stopping him unless he gets caught up in a sexual scandal. I’m sure Dave is too smart for that to happen and he’s aware of set ups as they’re happening.
