Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Not a fan of low-top Margielas. These are my faves, without a doubt:

So much better. I'd said it a long time ago but Margiela or not, GATs remind me of cheap 80s indoor soccer shoes or something.
70's actually and I think you are thinking of Sambas w/ the indoor soccer reference.
Mid GATs > Low GATs though (the mids posted above aren't exactly GATs)
for some reason i like mid cp achilles over the low ones too

^ :hat thanks, man. :lol I got the fire back to go hard with fitness again.

RE: GAT, for some reason I find the low tops to be really comfy but the mids are the opposite. I may try the highs soon to see how that goes.

Found this guy's tumblr, a lot of Suit Supply love in the thread and most of his suits are from SuitSupply:

some nice stuff, although I do think that the sleeves of the suits are a bit short, for my taste they most definitely are and well undoing the buttons on a double-breasted suit jacket :{. Although to justify, it may be just for the pics.

I need a double-breasted suit.

Good luck, man. Where is the job based in? Just curious since I have Sirius.

The job is in Lawrence, KS. It's just customer service, nothing too important. I got the job so I was pretty ecstatic about the yesterday. And it starts before school so I won't be broke this semester, lol

This. Dude is doing so much wrong. Sleeves too short, pants too tapered (look like they're hung up on his calves), suspenders with belt loops, and a DB should NEVER be rocked unbuttoned, even when seated.

Others may disagree with this but I don't mind braces with belt loops. The reason being that sometimes I want to wear braces but there are occasions where I'll have meetings with a certain demographic that would frown upon not wearing a belt regardless of the pants waist being perfect. Also, another personal preference but I would never wear suspenders.

^ I hear that about meetings with a certain demo. Braces/suspenders, at least he's not rocking them with a belt. I'll give him that.

Only time I'll ever wear them is with a tuxedo. Matter of fact only pants I have with the buttons for braces are my tuxedo pants

There are multiple levels of horsehairs used too. I believe 3, but I can't recall at the moment.
Marketplace has been around forever :lol

strange, that's my first time ever coming across it. I knew they had the one on the forums but not the dedicated site

SF Marketplace is rather new, it is the first time they are selling samples and it is just Robert Geller atm. That particular Marketplace has only been line for maybe a month or so, maybe 3. I remember LA Guy talking about how difficult and annoying it was to take stock pics to put in that new online store. I believe they plan to expand it eventually.

The other SF marketplace is just for B&S iirc, which is similar to NTs B&S forums.

I think a solid starter shoe for many of us in here has been the Clarks Desert Boot, or any desert boot really.

I know there was a pair of J. Crew McAllister's posted in here a few weeks back on deep discount for ~$30-40. Even the Clarks DB/Bushacre can be had for around 70 on Amazon with their 20% coupon that usually floats around. Just gotta keep an eye out.

Agreed. Clarks DBs were my bread and butter.

Not so much flack but just feedback. But yeah def go with DBs, you will get plenty of wears out of them. Had my leather beeswax pair since junior year in high school. 6 years later still wearing the exact same pair
