If you needed a defender, who you taking? Prince or James?
Tayshaun Prince.

Ya'll are overrating THE BLUE HELL out of Lebron's defensive. Son made Carmelo dribble the ball off his leg in a game and then every day after that we heard that he was a great defender...SMH.

Okay.

RIGHT NOW... People will take Tayshaun over LeBron?

Are you serious?

Remember this ain't 2004 or 2005...

Wow.

I guess that's why none of us are in a front office anywhere.

If Lebron was this all world defender...then he should have been checking Rashard Lewis when he was lighting their ##$ up two months ago.

I'm not Lebron fan, butthe guy can play D. One of the best rebounders at his position and when he gets serious on the defensive end he can really take over a game.

Saying that, Kobe and Prince > Lebron when it comes down to you picking a player to guard any wing player in the league. Battier is also up there as well.

Lebron isn't quite there yet defensively, but he will be there.

The Cavs didn't lose because of Shard. They lost because Dwight Howard wasunguardable. His dominance forced the double team, allowing the shooters to have a three-party.

Do you watch and understand playoff basketball?

Again you prove your lack of comprehension.

He DID have something to do with it because his teammate Dwight Howard got him great looks. That's how basketball works.

C'mon bruh...you gotta bring it stronger than that...

Right...especially when Dwight was in foul trouble and had to sit long stretches on the bench. His presence on the sideline helped Rashard scorebuckets. Especially the Game 1 winner. Dwight willed the ball into the basket from the bench.

what does all defense team list have anything to do with this post?

it wasnt like all of Lewis shot was from D12 passing to him he destoryed AV 1 on 1 for the most part

other then your homer +@% OC everyone would take prince over james to guard someone so your the one that couldnt run a front office

if i had a picture saved of yi, i obviously would have posted it right? duh. i dont, so why dont you look for the offseason thread, which happens to be on thefirst damn page.

Because Lebron has obviously made strides defensively to be one of the better defenders in the league at his position. I know he's not thebest defender in the league, but he's definitely moving up the list a lot quicker than most people think.

He already has a better chance at being better defensively than Durant anyway due to his size, athleticism and strength.

This all goes back to being an overall dominant player. We know Prince for his defense and he's more of a specialist defensively. So, of course you wouldtake him over Lebron. I just want to actually see if Durant can be an overall dominant player. Will we ever see him on the all-defensive team and all-nba team? Will we ever see him lead OKC to the Finals within' the next 3-4 years?

Dwight did kill the Cavs with his whopping 3 APG
laugh.gif
.

But really, Rashard (and Turk's) versatility KILLED the Cavs. Yet Mike Brown left LeBron to cover Skip

OH MY GOD this thread is hilarious.

The Cavs lost because of the one good game that D12 had against them?

Bron is such a great and elite defender that they chose to hide him on Alston the whole series while Shard and Turk and MP did work over and over for a whileseries?

Bron over Prince.....on defense?

@ saying Bron > TP on defense.

I don't know what games you guys watch, but lebron is not a great defender..hes okay. Lebron is a HUSTLE player on defense, aka all those blocks he getsfrom the weak side.. he's buns guarding players one on one. ask danny granger. Those "all nba defense" points or whatever from last season meannothing. he got those points strictly because of his blocks

/\ It's a luxury you get being an elite superstar in the NBA. If you even act like you're playing defensive...as long as you're a 30 PPG scorer onthe other end...you'll get All Defensive Team love. That's the reason why Kobe is 1st EVERY year.

nothin to do with bron, but..

personally, tayshaun hasn't impressed me in years.

But the difference between Lebron and Kobe is that Kobe is IN FACT a LOCKDOWN defender. Any premier scorer in the L will tell you that. Kobe will clamp yourbest player one on one all game and still drop 30+ on any given night.
