The more (white) people feel like/believe that thier society is collapsing, the more violent they will get.

Whether it's they're being displaced from their "christian nation", immigrants stealing their jerbs which translates to taking resources from them and giving it to non-whites, muslims trying to install sharia law, the government is trying to take away their guns, any of their other alt-right talking points.

Here is the sad reality. ANY attempt at gun reform, the right wing Rush Limbaugh, Shaun Hannity, Tucker Carlson, NRA crowd will feel their imaginary fears are becoming reality and they are going to start taking action. All of those white supremacist rallies from last summer will look like picnics in comparison. History shows that pissed off radical white people will burn it all down, even if its their own house.

I've always believed there are people in this country that would rather see it cease to exist than see their position threatened.

Being into guns you interact with these types often hell if you go to Colion Noir's IG in one of his most recent posts the top liked comment is a cat saying "the only solution for the left is The Final Solution"

I "need" my guns for those types because those types already have an arsenal and another ban isn't going to change that.

Speaking of the difference in races of the kids who bring guns to school. I think me personally am more scared of a white kid bringing a gun to school compared to the rest of the races. I don't have any statistics backing this up, but I feel like when I'm in school, a white kid has a grudge against more kids of all races, than a black, hispanic, or asian kid. In the schools I have taught at, it's always been more white vs all. All races have their niche, Asians tend to hang with the whites more than the blacks, but the respect is still there at the least.
But again, Mass shootings aren't happening half as much as the internet will have you believe. It shouldn't happen at all, but no kids should really be able to come in with weapons. I understand both sides of this tale, but an angry person can find a way to get who they want whether it's guns, knives, wires , forks. stapler. There are just POS people and that includes a lot of kids and some just have enough. It's always kids (in my experience) that have the bad home life. They project it on to the other kids when they get to school.

i said it a page or 2 ago. i hate colin for the simple reason that he looks the other way when his fanbase does or supports stuff like that. and the ONE time they turned on him, he made sure to never step out of line again.

Here is my collected non emotional reasons why I don't believe in further gun control outside of making peer to peer sales illegal making the background check system more reliable.

I look at Sandy Hook, the Pulse shooting, and the shooting that prompted this thread.

All those people where shot at point blank range or close quarters. Those shooters could have had AR or handguns and all those people would likely would have died. It's morbid to think about but how much stopping power is needed to kill children from 10 feet away? Not much.

Another reason I'm so anti gun control is the way the criminal justice is set up in this country it's just going to put more Black and Brown people in jail.

Black people get approximately 50% of weapons convictions now. I don't have concrete numbers but I can guarantee we don't have close to 50% of weapons illegal or legal.

You pass sweeping gun control on a federal level and they locking up us under the guise of safety just like the war on drugs. There are billions in keeping us locked up and with marijuana becoming legal more places they have to replace those inmates.

With an AR-15, the shooter does not have to be particularly accurate. The victim does not have to be unlucky. If a victim takes a direct hit to the liver from an AR-15, the damage is far graver than that of a simple handgun-shot injury. Handgun injuries to the liver are generally survivable unless the bullet hits the main blood supply to the liver. An AR-15 bullet wound to the middle of the liver would cause so much bleeding that the patient would likely never make it to the trauma center to receive our care.

Basically it’s saying a body shot with an AR to the liver for example is going to be more devastating than a handgun to the same organ. So of course a handgun can kill somebody. But if the shooter is giving body shots with an AR 15, it’s going to be more devastating and they don’t even have to be as accurate

Soldiers carry a side arm and rifle. Shooting a child with a 9mm defensive round from 10 ft is killing that kid either way.

The true problem is that there is a way too high percentage of the American population that have a genuine and profound affection of owning objects whose sole purpose is to end a life. And that percentage would never be willing to part ways with their guns which there are way too many of in circulation, whether those guns are legal or illegal. The reason the ban worked so insanely well in Australia is because they don't have nearly as many people who are bat **** crazy, who listen to the Australian equivalent of Alex Jones and take him seriously when he says that the government is out to destroy them when they try to ban guns.

Americans are disproportionately obsessed with violence compared to other developed countries. I agree 100%.

That's the #1 factor in my opinion.

Plenty of other places have high rates of gun ownership without having the issues we do.

It's a culture problem first. It also goes beyond culture. I've said it before. We're too divided.

All of the millionaire athletes who speak out against injustice, they should be "grateful" for having what they have, shut up and play ball. You get a decent job, or get into a good school, it was because of affirmative action, not because you present skills your employer can use.

Non-whites cannot possibly be smart enough or work hard enough to get what we got by our own merits so in some way or another it was given to us by the liberal federal government, that’s why these militia groups hate the federal government. Nothing to do with "don't tread on me" trying to take away their rights. The right for them to be able to walk down the street and not get shot in the back by a cop is already more than what black folks have.

They don't even think we have the drive to come together to rally and protest when we have legit grievances, its always some Democrat, George Soros plan to destabilize the country. George Soros has more employees than any person in history.

I really don't think the next election is going to be as cut and dry as some people think. Democrats need to get a strong candidate for the next term in order to beat Trump. (if he even wants to run again).
Independent party also needs a stronger leader.
But we'll see, honestly the way he is going to handle immigration and this gun law thing will prove a lot, if he can come up with some stuff the next 2 years, it wouldn't be so farfetched to see him another 4 years. Don't let your bias fool ya, this is our current leader now. He got there somehow
