FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

I’m staying at the Sonesta not too far from Camden Yards/ M&T Bank Stadium.

I’ve seen a few seafood spots. Any you would recommend ?
Closest to you is Rusty Scupper, which is kinda touristy but still pretty good.

Thames St Oyster in Fells is the best in the city.

Loch Bar in Harbor East.

Faidley’s in Lexington Market

Nick’s Fish House

I think the slow cooker is actually the best invention since sliced bread food wise.

One gotta go the slow cooker or the air fryer?

Wouldn’t something that can cook something faster (but still good) inherently be the better invention? Like a pressure cooker?

Not that this necessarily applies strictly to the conversation of slow cookers and air fryers, but there are certain flavors that cannot be replicated swiftly.

I don't have an air fryer but I guess slow cooker can go

Don't find myself using mine. End up using a dutch oven or sous vide instead

People swear by those insta pots but I don't have much interest

Get you an air fryer/slow cooker/pressure cooker in the same device and it won't matter.

I do find I use my dutchy for most slow cooks anyways. Especially if I start with a braising.

I like the slow cooker because you can just throw your ingredients in, go about you day, come home to some delicious succulent meats.
