The end of the college football season wouldn't be official without Houston Nutt's agent throwing his name around in coaching vacancies again.Originally Posted by WITNESSkb24

Oregon's LaMichael James leads the country in rushing.
Oregon runningback LaMichael James and Clemson defensive lineman Da’Quan Bowers headline the 2010 AFCA Coaches’ All-America Team announced today by the American Football Coaches Association.
The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best — the coaches themselves.
James leads the nation in rushing with 1,548 yards, at 6.12 yards per carry, and also leads the nation in scoring, averaging 12 points per game. He has recorded 20 touchdowns and is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award. Bowers leads the nation in sacks with 15.5, and is second in tackles for a loss with 24.5. He is a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, Lombardi Award and the Nagurski Award, which is a first for a Clemson player to be named a finalist for those three awards in the same year.

Jayron wanted to be a Cane and our assistant coaches wanted to offer but Randy wouldn't let them.
Kind of a win if you ask me. Now we are more or less guaranteed a BCS game every year as we will usually go undefeated or have maybe 1 loss to an AQ school.Originally Posted by Trelvis Tha Thrilla

Not like the mens team was ever good anyways. They take beatings already, not like that will change. It should improve a little bit hopefully. Maybe one day we can lure Jamie Dixon from Pitt
Worst 4 day stretch in Boise history. Loss to Nevada, and now TCU leaving MWC.
Just two weeks ago, Oregon State landed a commitment from former UCLA offensive line recruit Darryl Jackson. It looks like the Beavers have done it again with one of the Bruins' top offensive commits.
Wide receiver Brandin Cooks (Stockton, Calif./Lincoln) committed last summer to UCLA and is among the top prospects in the West, regardless of position. The athlete took an official visit to Corvallis two weeks ago when the Beavers hosted USC and Cooks said he now has a leader.
"I'm basically a soft commit to Oregon State," Cooks said. "I had a great visit and right now, I really feel like Oregon State is the best place for me. This is something I've been thinking about for the past few months and I finally decided to take the visit to Oregon State to see what the place was all about and I loved it there.
"With UCLA, I committed because it was my dream school and I always wanted to go there. That's what made this so tough for me. The more I looked at them and I visited the school four times and went and saw them play this year, I started to wonder if it was really the best place for me. I know the pistol offense is a good fit for some people but for me, I'm just not sure if it's the best offense for me as a player and I'm not sure if I'll be able to be fully utilized in it.
"At Oregon State, I really loved the family atmosphere there and loved hanging with the players and coaches. The big thing though is the pro style offense and how they would use me. They see me as very similar to James Rodgers and there's a chance I could play right away there. We're similar in size and speed and they want me to run fly sweeps and return kicks as well as play receiver and I really think that fits what I do best."
Completely agree. Teams like Baylor, Tech, A&M, were all telling recruits that TCU is on the outside looking in at the BCS and all that mess. They can no longer use that against TCU.Originally Posted by GUNNA GET IT

You can go to Texas win out and be in Nat't Title game but now you can come to TCU win out and get the same reward.
I am very interested in this also. We need to get a competent coach in there to take over.Originally Posted by Nowitness41Dirk
Very, very interested to see what the can do with their basketball program from this... If they're smart about this, it could pay HUGE dividends for their recruiting in Texas.
We were left for dead when the SWC broke up, and now we are back. Feels good man!!Originally Posted by trey ohh five
TCU stays winning, they've done a hell of a job with the expansion of that program, congrats to all their fans.

Not any worse than the new Mountain West would be. Take away Utah and BYU and add Boise, Nevada, and Reno and those are pretty long trips.Originally Posted by Where Are You Harold Miner 2
Not to mention simply the miles you will have to travel for every away game. No thank you.
