Green New Deal proposes to get rid of air travel, replaced by high speed rail?

because lithium has reached its energy density max...its literally impossible.

good luck finding something else.

Some of this was covered in the article that you posted. I suspect you didn't read the article.

point is da money that it would take to basically redesign batteries from da ground up, wasting millions in da process wouldn't be worth it considering da abymsal adoption of electric cars, in United States, and nothin is going to happen to unseat conventional internal combustion engines unless you legislation them away like that wacky green new deal aims to do.

In case you haven’t realized how life works, when something hits its peak people develop new solutions and create new products to make up for the previous limitations. You think people are going to just stop and say they can’t do anything about it? Cmon b. Stop drinking the kool aid you’ve been fed by big oil.

3 words, cost benefits analysis.

companies aren't gonna continue to sink costs into a product that doesn't sell...cuz market demand determines investments, not pie in da sky "if they build it they will come" rhetoric.

That bit where we're paying folks who are 'unwilling' to work... is that real?

Imagine being a model citizen all these years, just to find out theres about to be a cheat code where you get housed, fed, educated etc which requires absolutely no effort and the workin stiffs bout to pick up the tab? Id feel like a sucker

Im all for helping those who are unable to work. That goes without saying.

But unwilling to work just because ? And let the people who actually are working pick up the tab? ****. I cant believe they included that

They will if the government funds it.

with what money? and why would da government bw in da business of picking winners & losers? furthermore EV credits are either in da process of being recinded or already finished on a federal level.

People that are opposed to this have probably never been on a high-speed train in another country. Funny how ninja is opposed to this, however, probably brags about NYC having such a reliable and well connected train.
