Happy 5th Anniversary NikeTalk! (Complete with Retro look)

Wow, the Wallet Breakers days seem so far away. Those were the days when I still cared about shoes and Niketalk cost me about $200 a week!!

I remember when the pics of the test XVII's leaked. For some reason, the other past releases haven't had the same magic.

I also remember when somebody made a post, DJ CLUE SENT ME A PIC OF THE XVII'S!!!!, and the "pic" had DJ CLUE tagged a million times on it so you couldn't even see the shoe. People were so hyped from the title it took like three pages before anybody got the joke.

I remember when you could actually post your opinion and not be greeted by people who have nothing to say but :stoneface:

, and when you didn't agree with someone you weren't considered "ignorant". Wouldn't blindly following someone elses opinion be considered "ignorance" anyway?!

I remember when Jersey Joe was here when Ekin lit the place up on a regular basis, and when there was The Neptunes before there was Shynop, and Khlav was the most annoying post ***** on the board.

There was a time when saying "I got the breads!" was like saying "I just ordered an (whatever the hell KMD drinks)."

Hell, I remember when Fame owned this place and Menace5star could post and only get a few snide remarks.

There once was a day when "General" did not mean "Clothes/Racism/Girl Advice", and you could send djmrsulu 20 bucks and get a shirt with a nice XI logo on it. I still have mine.

I remember when you could come here at work/school without fear that you were gonna get screwed by someone's pointless avatar linking to a porn site.

I remember when going out wasn't considered a game of "Take pictures of guys who look like Dirty and photoshop them!"

More importantly, I remember when you could MAKE A POST AND IT STAYED ON THE FRONT PAGE FOR DAYS, MAYBE EVEN A WEEK!!!

So in a nutshell, kick out 20,000 people and send them to HT where they'd probably rather be anyway, disable emoticons, make me a mod, let me ban people on the basis of the "You're so stupid you don't deserve to have a say," rule, and this place will be straight again.

I've spent way too much time here, and yeah, I'd do it agian.

Hell, may as well shout out the people I've liked over the years: Muscle, Cam, Dirty, Bastitch, patnort1 (Who introduced me to this place way back when. POST MORE. And thank's for bringing me here at the END of senior year, or I'd still be there.) Uh... I don't even remember half of who I like, so screw it.
Your opinion doesn't count anyway.

wow CurrythaGame that some deep stuff i know i havent been here since day one but it sure has changed since i have been viewing it. ever since i got a comp i waz going to NT cause my boi told me bout it. back when tha white/royal 18z came out. ever since i came to NT and started learin bout tha shoe game i now dress 10 timez beter than before, thanks NT for tha knowledge and HAPPY 5th.

I'm not one of them, but this is still a place to recieve tons of sneaker related information. This is really an asset to the sneaker collecting community... YA'LL need to get paid!!!! i think Nike IS MAKING BANK OFF OF THIS COMMUNITY.. nike needs to kick down some loot to the creators out of appreciation for everything they do.. raise your glasses for 5 more years..

I remember when the entire community of NT which was around around 8,000 maybe? heart skipped a beat when the first pics of the XI SpaceJams leaked. damn! they were and still are the best looking shoes ive ever seen in my life and i still dont own a pair lol.

When the pics samples of the XV's were posted one with the Red panel the other with the White. wow those shoes were the worst looking shoes ever.

Jersey Joe posting the Wear Test samples of the XVII's that were fithy and ugly. Everyone said they werent buying them, then the release version actually looked good and everyone did a 180 lol.

I like the new layout. I just wish the unclicked links were red and the clicked ones were grey, and i miss the border that seperates each post. I don't like them all connected. :\
