A yearly booster mandate would be annoying. I don't mind the flu shot because for me it has no side effects. The covid shots give me terrible side effects and I can't sit out of work for 2 weeks to recover, I have to continue to work through horrible side effects for weeks.

If you have no side effects to the vaccine, a yearly booster sounds great! Most people I know haven't had the side effects that I have experienced.

May I ask, what side effects did you have that lasted 2 weeks? I only ask as I've had all 3 doses (2 plus booster) and will get a 4th as soon as my 6-month window opens (and my transplant team says it's okay) and since I don't have an immune system (due to my immunosuppressant medication) I had no side effects except a sore arm after the booster and a slight foggy feeling for like an hour. Then I was good the rest of the day.

I have ZERO concern with having to get a booster yearly. No different than a flu shot (for me at least). Whatever helps to not catch this.

Itching and hives all over.

The resistance to taking a free booster once a year doesn't make sense to me.

I mean, my vax card is fully filled out but is it really all that hard to understand?

like, I don't wanna. who WANTS to? is it fun? wouldn't you rather it not be necessary?

of course, it is entirely necessary at this time...but who desires that forever?

anyway that being typed it's weird that loss of smell and taste isn't spoken of as the minor brain damage it really sounds like.

This.

Its not “resistance” but exactly that^^. Do you wanna? No not really and not cause anti vax blah blah, but its like your yearly doctor visit. Do you really wanna go? No. Do you go cause its what you gotta do? Yeah.

I think it’s normal to not be excited about getting endlessly vaccinated. The whole thing is exhausting. So is living in a semi state of emergency all the time. Not saying it hasn’t been necessary or the right thing to do, just that it’s difficult.

Looking forward to being able to get my toddler vaccinated so I can stop worrying so much and try to live a more normal life.

Maybe I'm in the minority about having to do it yearly as I'm so used to all my other doctors visits to my specialists that handle my Crohn's and my transplant post op. I've been dealing with my issues for 2/3s of my life (I'm 45) so the possibility of a yearly shot is nothing new and frankly second nature to me. If this is what I need to do to stay safe, do be it.

yearly flu vaccine is already mandated at work for many people. they set up a tent or whatever for a few days. it's not bad at all.

most have very mild and short-lived side effects from the covid vaccine. lower dosage on boosters and I imagine those will be even more mild.

I imagine we'll get yearly boosters for a couple more years. hard to predict what happens after that.
