They are really pushing this collection with celebrity wear early. Generally fw starts coming out in the summer but LV might push this out earlier. You can’t preorder any of this stuff yet though.

Y’all can feel how y’all wanna feel about this statement but in my opinion Virgil designs was never allat to me. only thing Virgil designed I ever bought was the millionaires. Never did OW either. Just wasn’t appealing to me. And he watered down LV imo

still rocking 510s, i also like the variety of colors they have, i think i have like half a dozen different shades of blue

used to wear dior mij heavy but those had little to no stretch so they just feel too uncomfortable now

This was the consensus with a lot of people... I vividly remember people slowly starting to turn on Virgil the last couple of years of his life in regards to saying his designs were lazy aside from a few hits here and there.

virgils design were always like a remake or homage to older styles like the lv trainers or vans old skool lows where he added his ow stripes, all sold well and sold out quickly at one point

but even his logos are based off of street/pedestrian signs but its all about incorporating it well

designers do it all the time though, even margiela call his line replica but virgil did get more flack because he is black and in turn put more in the spotlight

but then he kinda started the self referential thing and that snowballed over to his nike/aj collab and that was huge, it blew up and was very creative during this all being meta as a thing


not everything he did at lv was for me but it was a good change from the constant use of monogram or super simple basics but i did especially like the turn the sneakers made, its great shift from just copying well known nikes and adidas’ models, nb and avia isnt a big leap but its definitely a huge hit and even made nb release the 550s and those were selling out there for a hot sec

so his influence is definitely felt everywhere in fashion and a gigantic loss

unfortunately for pharrell, he has a big shoes to fill so i wouldnt be surprised if it feels underwhelming to start off his position as a creative director

Pants matter, my point was more plain denim/pants .A pant with some kind of unique design feature (LV printed pants) is different. That I would spend money on. Regular type blue jeans, maybe with some rips, from Celine or whatever we were talking about, naw fam im good on those im going to Zara or something.

Cheapest I can go is Levi’s.

On the pants subject though, I will say ive been having a tough time finding a cheaper gray cargo or wide pant. I saw a pair of Stussy gray cargos, thick ripstop and it fits how I want...but its ripstop and I hate that material. Some other regular brands (Urban, Zara, etc) dont have exactly the style cargos I want.

Now, I did find a pair Acne thats really nice and fits what I want, just dont wanna spend $480 on it but if I cant find something soon then...

I have absolutey no problem with Zara, the plainer stuff anyways.I'll find something I like here and there. Just got some wide fit pants from them for 50 beans the other day.
