How I Met Your Mother Post Series Discussion. Rustled Jimmies to the Maximum

Man that wasn't predictable :lol I didn't think they'd show the proposal but it makes perfect sense that we'll see all the big moments as flashforwards.

What more do you people want? He won't meet the mother until the last episode, so she'll get to know the other characters, we'll see them together in flashforwards, and that's about it.

Lol we knew that there was going to be a Mother appearance this episode. After ten minutes with no mother appearance it was previous obvious that they were going to save her for a lighthouse scene at the end. I wouldn't say I knew a hundred percent that there was going to be a proposal but I had a strong suspicion.

Big J, I feel like Craig Thomas and company are capable of better. I keep waiting for that episode that hits me like Barney's proposal episode and that episode where Ted spent that entire night alone and imagined 3 versions of himself.

Yeah, I can see that. The show is definitely capable of better and some more memorable episodes in the hyped up final season are definitely in need.

I'm pleased so far because the past couple seasons were quite disappointing, but hopefully they pick it up a notch.

Don't like how Marshall is still driving there and not with the whole group. Btw, does he still have some slaps from the slap bet?

Other than Barney talking like a dolphin, which made me want to turn off the TV... tonight's was excellent.

Back at the bar, classic laughs and jokes, saw the Mother again (who they're writing as some magically awesome human being :lol), I liked it a lot.

Also, Bryan Cranston brought a bit of his Heisenberg character with him trying to sway Ted to Chicago. :lol

I loved it.

How i met your mother spin off "How i met your dad"

Just a couple of weeks after news broke of a possible How I Met Your Mother spinoff, The Wrap reports that CBS have indeed decided to move forward and greenlight a pilot for the project - called How I Met Your Dad now (yes, they slightly tweaked it from How I Met Your Father).

The project will not center on any of the existing HIMYM characters and is essentially a thematic spinoff, taking the same approach as the hugely successful series, from a female point of view. It is expected that the spinoff characters may be introduced on How I Met Your Mother before the end though, backdoor pilot style.

How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are writing and executive producing How I Met Your Dad with Emily Spivey, a former SNL and Parks and Recreation writer, who also created Up All Night.

For a sec there when I just saw the last post of this thread I said which poor sap from the cast is that desperate to keep this up that they'd do a spinoff? :lol :{

Figured it wasn't Jason (been wanted to leave), Cobie (has the Avengers and possibly Agents of SHIELD), or Neil (too awesome) so I thought damn it must be Radnor :lol

Spinoff is 50/50. Could fail epically or succeed depending on cast. They can't just have a carbon copy of the current cast, gotta be in a sense a new show with similar format. Gonna need some funny and good actors imo (familiar faces like this cast had wouldn't hurt). If successful I could see some nice cross pollination by having the same side characters show up coincidentally.

I'm a little disappointed because I would have been curious to see what the creators could have done with a new show and premise. But on the other hand, I'm not surprised if you just stick with what works and keep on making money :lol

But then wouldnt we already know how the series finale to How I Met Your Dad would go because it would have to be the same last episode of How I Met Your Mother?

If they are smart they will have a different a completely different arc in mind and make the main character completely the opposite of Ted. Like maybe instead of someone chasing after that perfect someone, make it someone who has been burned by so many guys, that she completely swore off guys completely. And her friends are always setting her up with guys, but she hates it. If the character is too much like Ted, it'll be too much like Himym.

I have no interest in the spin off I think it's time CBS moves on. Develop the other shows. I think Robin Williams Craz Ones could fill that 7pm spot and do fine. I think it's good. Not sold on "The Millers" yet.

Random but I own the swear that the asian guy in Two Broke Girls is wearing right now.

I didnt like this episode all that much
