Maybe 2 or 3 years ago, even then it was dying down ...the Fairfax district is what Soho is today for A.S.A.P. Rocky and them, and tourist. It's burned down with late bloomers and new money pretending they've be engulfed in the culture since day one.

I'm more of a purist ...I don't mess with things once lames make it "cool", I hate people who take credit for the shine and not the ground work.

Ask any of them lame girls who "Bansky" is "oh my god, is he like on Kendrick Lamar's new album, Banksy is totally like DOPE...SWAG!"

I just can't do it ...I am familiar with the area though ...I'm more of a Venice, Malibu, Hollywood Hills party type of guy. Not humble bragging like I'm rich because I'm not even wealthy, but I hang in them circles, those house parties.


Fairfax district girls can't even afford In and Out menu items or blunt rap...which is my point, if he's going down there with 44K to mess with those types, they'll break his pockets a lot faster than a Venice, Malibu, or Hollywood Hills type female.

I'm talking about the flee market.  and just Melrose not the entire area.  Which by the way pretty affluent.  Don't know how it's poppin these days, but back in the early 2000's that area was bananas day in and day out.  Even on a week day.  But as I got older, and moved further south on the Inglewood Hawthorne border I was more about the areas doc mentioned.  Downtown, Westside, Torrence, gambling spots, and casinos.

But I see your problem.  The spots you mentioned as your hangouts.  I met a few cool people in those areas, but majority of chicks that hangout in those areas are superficial, dirtbag, prostitute, coke ****** from out of town.

And don't get it twisted there are plenty of well off folks in the Fairfax district all the way down to Inglewood.  Plenty chicks that start off there adult lives with descent nest eggs left from parents and grandparents, and they are educated as well.  Word to my female cousin that been pulling in a legit six figures a year since college

Don't let this guy fill your head up with nonsense.  There are plenty of cooler then cool females that aren't going to smoother you because they trying to get out there and create there own thing.

Just stay away from all the areas he mentioned as his hangouts, and guaranteed you'll meet a abundance of cooler then cool fine as females who are out there making it happen financially, and they're not on that superficial bs.

Hit up a few live raves from the end of the summer till halloween.  You'll meet some of the finest of fine female specimens walking the face of the earth.

@The Nomad and @RELLIRELOADED both of you guys have valid points. Inglewood is a bit rough i don't like going out that way unless im going to a Jamaican restaurant  . @The Nomad i feel like you have more of a inside being that you are older.

Honestly i just have to expose and get outside Long Beach area. Pasadena seem cool.

It's more laid back and older people out there ...middle class doctors and lawyers just getting by. Rent is becoming overpriced in that area. I'd say grab a roommate or shack with friends in Hollywood or West Hollywood. It's more fit for someone 21-30.

Only reason i left Hollywood after 2 yrs was the Parking Situation, my building had underground parking but No Guest Parking and you already know Street Parking in Hollywood is pits.

And get use to the Nightly Ghetto Birds.

Anywhere from Hollywood to the Valley is pretty chiil. Im in Studio City, but i usually recommend "Noho" North Hollywood, Toluca Lake, Sherman Oaks, and Van Nuys if your on a budget.

It's just the 405 thats a big turn off. There's way around it but traffic sucks if you're commuting into L.A. everyday

If u want something with Less amenities you can find some deals. the higher end prices come with Washer/Dryer, and New Appliances on most cases.

The cheaper stuff usually comes with No Fridge, and older appliances.

Noho has some 2/2 - 1300-2000

Van Nuys you can get 1/1 for 800 2/2 12-1500

Studio City 1/1 1800-2000 2/2 2200-2500

K-town is cheap, but not as safe. MS-13 territory.

Had some friends paying 900-1500 for Studios, up to 2 BD.. 

Helicopters all night, and the crime rate is higher the closer you get to Downtown.

Great AREA FOR Korean BBQ though!!

The helicopters are ridiculous. 3 or 4 at a time sometimes really close to ground level. It feels like you are in a movie at all times. I'm trying to find a place close to the beach or mountains so that I can get away from all that....


EDIT: So I appreciate any insight on a good cheap place to look with quality yambs
