is selling fake stuff on ebay legal?

i know this may sound stupid to some of you who are paid, but im 18 and can get fake gucci belts for like $30 good quality and i see them going on ebay forlike $100, the ones that are going for that price do not say authentic and are the same ones i can get my hands on....is it legit to do this or can ebay shut udown...also if somebody buys something from me even if i do not state authentic, and claims its fake and files a paypal dispute, will i win? to everybody whois hustlin help me out!!!

It is not legal, you will lose a paypal dispute. If someone reports you to authorities you may be in trouble. Too much of a paper trail if you're sellingon ebay.

We won't get into morality of purchasing/selling fake merchandise.

But the sheer volume of auctions of fraudulent merchandise, and the poorly trained eBay staff put together form the strange factor you are explaining here.They can sell fraudulent merchandise because they can get away with it, basically.

It is not right, however, for them to do so; It is just easy.

I personally knew someone who sold fakes for about 2 months. Not worth it, he got the boot from eBay and about 10 chargebacks on paypal. People who are willingto pay that much for stuff like Gucci Belts are not stupid they know real from fake.
