its about to be 10 years since 50 put out this classic album (vol time flies)

50 already had a huge buzz before he got signed

& he didnt throw them under the bus, he was just being truthful & they needed fif more than he needed them

& he didnt throw them under the bus, he was just being truthful & they needed fif more than he needed them

but his buzz got even bigger with Dre & Em, realistically he wouldn't have done well if he was by himself.

He wouldve still done well because he was constantly going at the biggest rapper in the game at the time & he wasnt sneak dissin either

That in da club beat was avg, dre & em just gave him a bigger platform to talk his ****

If em didnt sign fif who was? Bad Boy? Ruff Ryders? 50 HAS ALWAYS  been upset at the attention that GAME got from their rap peers Banks has the personality of a coffee table u coulf never market him as any typr of rapper without 50 Banks wouldn't even have had a record deal. Banks been on the scene since 2002 and u still cant define what type of artist he is

Banks had it all, he just wasnt into that behind the scenes **** that comes with it

When you have tracks like karma, southside story, im so fly & on fire

That should tell you his versatility as a rapper,

has game ever had a single for the females & please dont say "wouldnt get far" :rollin

uhh he's made songs with Keyshia Cole, R.Kelly, that Nate Dogg joint Special, Trey Songz so yea he has. look at his IG and twitter all them thots sayin they love this dude :lol he's just as or more versatile as Banks. what Banks lacks is personality, nobody wants to listen to a boring dude with a voice that sounds like he needs a throat lozenge.

Banks had it all yet the dude cant even hold a interview if 50 aint sitting right next to him 50 done called the man lazy to his face on live TV and he just sits there looking like Natalie Nunn twin brother

- 50 had MAD labels on him. Em and Dre weren't the only labels going after him but that's funny.

- All the interviews and articles I've read, I have NEVER read that 50 was jealous or upset or worried about the attention Game got. This **** sounds like you're trying to cope with what happened and why. 50 sold 800K and change, his first week and then 800K and change his second week. They said his first week would have been well over a million but so many stores sold out. How in the hell is 50 worried or scared after putting up numbers like that? I don't get this logic or why anyone would believe it. "Game, you're so talented and so good, you have to go. I can't take it" Yeah, sounds like a scenario you and that other kid play out in your head.

look at 50 history he gets upset and blows up over the smallest lamest **** ...his beef with JA is over what again? I hope it isnt that lame story he been tellin for the past 15 years now...hell if u wanna get technical he's taken alot of L's from gettin shot by Preme Boys beat up by Murder Inc Stabbed up

Game killed him on wax Shyne killed him on wax Ross got at em and came out on top

:rollin

I'm a take a break from this thread after this post.

50's beef with Murder Inc and Ja Rule was small and lame? :lol

Game had a GREAT diss song. Then ruined it by releasing 100 diss songs and making himself look like a bitter female. Definitely should have left it at 300 Bars and Running.

HUGE Shyne fan and his diss song was pretty much ***.

Rick Ross' diss song was weak as hell.

At the end of the day Game was shelved and sitting on the sidelines waiting to be helped until 50 came along and rescued him.  Out of everyone in the G-Unit camp at the time 50 was on and helped assist Game the most with his album.  That tells you something right there.

50's buzz on the streets was huge for a minute before Dre and Em came along.

Basically, all eyes were on him at the time, and he had every major label looking at him.

So for someone to say that 50 wasn't going to be anything without Dre or Em, that's crazy talk.

Did him signing with Em just add fuel to his buzz, of course.  Did Dre's production help him craft a classic album, of course.

But 50 did a lot of the heavy lifting on his own.   He pretty much singlehandedly changed the mixtape game.

I remember the first time I heard I smell *****. My dude Curtis was that dude smh o what money does to people

Dudes keep saying "When was he the top rapper" that's real subjective. The Doc was a great album and Doctors Advocate was too and both albums sold real good. So from 05-07 if he wasn't the top dude he was definitely in the mix. Him, Kanye, Wayne, T.I. At that time you coulda picked either one of those dudes. A lot of y'all are just going by which rappers YOU like as usual.

Realist post ive read....repped

That was the point, it's because Game was the first to get a cosign and be from CA. That's what I'm telling you. If Banks or Buck were from CA, THFM or SOC albums are also doing the same numbers. Dre only did six beats and it was probably less than that. So this isn't a Dre type classic from his old days.

I've never heard anyone say the beef was because 50 was jealous or worried about Game being bigger. Even years ago when message boards were going crazy, this wasn't being said. 50's debut album is double platinum in three weeks, Game was a threat? That **** doesn't even make sense. So I guess 50 won't work with Game now because Game is threat and could be bigger today?

The beef was 50 was the general, the other four were soldiers. Game thought he was better than them and tried to run ****. 50 said nah, I'm the boss. Follow orders or get out. Game said F you, I'm doing me and started dissing G-Unit. It's that simple, there's nothing more nothing less. 50 has said why would I do music with someone I brought on and put out and then bites that hand that fed him. It's literally, that simple. Game can rap but his music hasn't been as good since 50/Dre were helping him create music. LAX was awful and RED was okay. Jesus Piece could have been a soundtrack with all those features.
Dre doing six beats doesn't mean anything. U obviously don't know much about what a PRODUCER does. Mixes and masters, not to mention he teaches his artist how to make songs, the little things that Dre has his artists do really shapes and molds them. It shows in all his artists from Em to Stat Quo. Most of em have had other successful artists and became good producers in their own rights.

Jesus Piece was Game's best album as a COMPLETE ARTIST. He was raw on Documentary, he needed the cosigns and help on that project. On JP his raps and concept was on point. Beats were top notch. Who cares bout how many features are on there. Majority of em were great on the records.
I'm enjoying these conversations with just you two. It's only you two that are completely lost in this world.

1. No one on here will ever say that 50 is or was bigger than Dre or Em. They would be a fool.
2. You guys are acting like Game sold so much because he was so much better. No, it's because it was the first rap album to come out of CA in almost a decade. So the point was, it could have been Banks or Buck with their albums and it would have done the same numbers because CA was so desperate at that time.
3. Jimmy Iovine had said YEARS ago, Game was working with Dre and wasn't getting anywhere. Dre had given up and was ready to drop him. Then Jimmy said lets put him with G-Unit and see what happens. Let's not make it seem like this guy was so good that Dre had to sign him and put out his album because it was the complete opposite of that.
4. Back when G-Unit was at their peak, damn near everyone though Banks was the best rapper. Very few people though Game was the most ruthless or the best like you were saying. Banks was KILLING those mixtapes back then. My goodness

5. If 50 isn't willing to take on Game, we never even hear The Documentary because he gets dropped from Aftermath. So not sure what the hell you guys are getting at with the whole Dre talk.
HE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT HAVE THE FIRST ALBUM OUT IN 10 YEARS!!!! U must mean first big mainstream album and thats not by default.
Far from a hater, ive purchased every Game album except for Year of the Wolf. I think you, Compton and that other guy are living in fantasy island. Giving Game way too much credit. Game is a good rapper that had a couple good albums and also had some bad albums. He can rap and he could make better music if he wanted to but he doesn't. He reminds me of Fabolous. The potential to be better is there but he's trying to create smash singles and songs for women instead of putting out the fire that he can.
Doesn't mean anything that u bought his albums, if you didn't know he put all those artists on mixtapes and he was the guy they looked up to since  (in ur words) "he was the only guy to have a rap album on the west in 10 years"...

If you'd like an example go listen to Kendricks - Black Boy Fly....verse #2... now quit telling lies.

I'm sorry it wasn't exactly 10. It was like 8 years. He was the first rapper to put out a mainstream album in ABOUT eight years.

I don't know about Kendrick or Nipsey because of Game. Most of the people I know that listen to Kendrick or Nipsey don't even listen to Game and will tell you he's not the reason they listen to them. DC, MD, VA....not a lot of people listening to Game out here anymore. His show a few months ago was empty and tickets were on Groupon.

I think Game is a local legend, local hero. But he's not a legend in the game. Doesn't have a classic and has been forgotten about it in a good amount of areas. We here more about his antics on social media than his music.

50 wanted Game to fall back and fall in line like the rest of the G-Unit soldiers, but the only thing is Game wasn't a soldier in his mind, he was a general. He had his BWS **** going right from the beginning of him being with G-Unit. He was already thinking bigger than that. 50 trip on anybody that don't got a mind of their own, which is why he has blasted all of them for doing their own thing at a time. ***** blasted banks for being lazy after his pops died, ***** recorded a phone conversation with Buck crying, I don't even know what issue he had with Yayo...but he was out here alone for a min. Beef with Floyd and they used to act like brothers. If you don't do what he wants he will flip on you quick.

^^^ Exactly 50 does the lamest ish , when his ego is threatened he lashes out only against certain people tho...Mike Tyson put up some of the bread that was on 50 head when he got shot yet 50 aint never had a problem with Mike that's hilarious to me.

Game was pretty much shelved on the aftermath roster til 50 said yeah he can get with gunit.

Fif already had hate it love it, how we do done and was supposed to be on massacre.

"50 had Game in Connecticut for like a month. He worked on the whole album. 50 got the whole thing started. 50 was writing the hooks. He wrote the hook for ‘Hate It Or Love It.’ He wrote almost all the hooks on the album, seriously. You'll see it on the credits." - Sha Money XL

I know its Sha, so take his word for what it is, I don't believe he has a reason to make that up though.

Hate it or Love It, How We Do, Westside Story, Church For Thugs, and Special where all definitely confirmed to be 50's hooks though, per Game and others who worked on the album.

Westside story was recorded in 2002 and was suppose to be on All about the Benjamins Soundtrack so how was it 50s?

Where exactly did I say West Side Story was 50's.  I just said he wrote the hook, which was crucial to the song.  But as far as actual evidence that's out there regarding these songs,  what I posted from the article is really all we have.

I love a good discussion about music, but your bias is amazing.  You're out here getting defensive over things that were never even said.
