Jordan 1 Chicago - Reimagined aka Lost and Found - November 19, 2022

Yall making a lot of generalizations. Some shops are a single store owned by one guy and that's his entire career. He's in the store daily. Others are owned by a guy with 10 business business ventures. He's not around as much. Some guys own 15+ stores all across the country. That guy definitely isn't in the majority of those stores regulasilly. He hasnt seen some of those stores in 5+ years. So speaking in absolutes when the situation is different from shopping to shop is pretty sillly.

This!

There's those few tiny shops that's basically a one-man-show (most don't have an actual Nike account). Then there are the James Whitner's. Man owns various stores in different cities. He obviously isn't in every store.

Honestly I don’t understand what this even means.

…and yes I’m a little embarrassed about that.🥸
it means that the original plan of letting NBHD accounts release them whenever and however they wanted to might have been scrapped. Probably because of all the backdooring. Lol

Know more than a few store owners personally and how they've been operating for years. I'm not assuming anything, you're the one assuming what I know or have experienced.

NT is also full of 🤡 too

So the store “ owners” you know employees’ backdoor shoes and you know about it but not them??

From what I understand these NBHD stores, (which are essentially select sneaker boutiques that aren’t your typical footlocker, jd sports, finishline, etc.) were going to release them with like in store events or FCFS, similar to the heirlooms. And now seems like that may not happen and could just be straight up raffles

I mean yea  If this is new to you, you probably shouldn't be collecting sneakers in 2022.

You are beyond naïve. :smh:
You saying naive but I’m simply saying they are stealing from their place of employment. It’s cool we see things differently. I’m probably double your age and see things how they really are.

So let me guess, because they actually have to scan these shoes during release day sales, they just scan ghost boxes and pretend they go to customers? 😂🤷🏽‍♂️

I'm saying you're naive because you're out of touch with reality. You've said a lot of dumb things and are now trying to clean them up.

Is that good for us or bad?

Not that it matters for me.

…no boutiques like that in the 5-4-1.

This release is looking ugly if true..

That actually explains a lot. If Nike/Jordan were just leaving it up to the shops to decide release details, screw it. Backdoor them, tell your clientele they got "delayed" or stolen in transit, pocket the profit and call it a day.

Dude thinks it’s the 80s. Walk in and wail out with what ever you want. L L L L L. On all of them
No 🧢 I got it like at one of my spots. Walked in to get my son CG 11s and the lady said “I didn’t see you in the raffle but you can get however you need” I casually bought 4 pair 🤣🤣🤣🤣 flipped two in the parking lot for $400 walked back in and got another pair !!!!!

I don’t think the question is whether or not store owners keep track of their stock, it’s whether or not they know if/when backdooring is happening in their shops and whether or not they condone it.

Personally, I think the answer is yes for many tier 0s.

Nike could find and solve a lot of problems by auditing their allocation infrastructure. Those P.O. numbers on the box might say who “ordered” the shoe, but it doesn’t say where they went.

Honestly, I’m shocked that there isn’t more backdooring going on. Knowing that there are people out there who are paying $2-300 more above retail for a pair, why wouldn’t I just sell these to a reseller and save my employees from the hassle? Just run a fake IG raffle on release day, enjoy the free advertising while I count my money. Might as well make some coin off of FOMO.
