Its a good sign of authenticity indirectly which is Nike's poor quality control. On the SB 4's it might not be due to the Wing tab, but it is surely indented due to various reasons. The leather is soft though.

If it is indeed a systematic issue then it is a failure in packaging design (they should’ve added some tissue paper or foam over the sharp back tab). A shoe tree isn’t going to fix that.

Wale was in my city a few years ago and I felt awful for the dude. They put him up in some dingy hotel where my buddy worked at. In a bad part of the city. Like, maybe 2.5 star, 3 star at best. Just a gross place. If I was Wale, I would have fired my manager ASAP for not getting better arrangements.
