Looks that way because the heel is higher on the og than the SB. The lower heel is one of the details JB has consistently gotten wrong on every version since the og.

Yes, that's why the overall height is shorter on the retros.

Raising the lower heel makes you raise the tab.

Raising the tab makes you raise the ankle collar.

Raising the ankle collar makes the shoe higher

It's also the shape of the cut at the heel; OG had less of a dip, which makes the back tab appear higher, when it may not be.

Ain’t nothing wrong with the leather on these. If we ever got the same leather on the black/cement IIIs cats would be hyped. It’s the inconsistent shape of all the samples we’ve seen that’s off..or as my 8 year old would say “sus”.
