**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Real Plus & Minus for our guys of consequence.

D'Angelo Russell: 18th out of 85 PGs

Only guy under 25 years old with a better Real Plus & Minus than Russell: Kyrie 15th... The other PG that was talked about being just as good as Russell going into the draft Emmanuel Mudiay 79th.

Lou Williams: 3rd out of 100 SGs

Behind James Harden & KCP

Nick Young: 12th out of 100 SGs

Jordan Clarkson: Who would be 58th if classified as a PG, is 79th as a SG

Brandon Ingram: 80th of 80 SFs (Not worried about it)

Larry Nance Jr.: 19th of 93 PFs... Positive DRPM

Julius Randle: 58th of 93 PFs.... Positive DRPM
(Those couple weeks without Russell were really horrific, average a -9.4 over those games)

Lakers brought in DMo for a workout ad were impressed per Momo

with Nance and Black out, we need some height in the paint

zubac needs more time to adjust

I like the idea of D-Mo. But the frontcourt is really crammed.
" more so about impact on the rotation rather than health concerns"

Lakers FO knows what theyre doing

not sure if they would offer a one year deal or if would have to be a multi-year thing

if Black's injury is gonna linger, than i think you need to bring him in

This would probably spell the end of Thomas Robinson as the roster is full right now.

Sources: Free agent Donatas Motiejunas auditioned with Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have auditioned free agent big man Donatas Motiejunas within the past week, according to league sources.

Sources told ESPN that the Lakers brought Motiejunas in before Christmas to work out in front of the front office and coaching staff, but it remains unclear whether they'll go ahead with signing the former first-round pick.

The Lakers' frontcourt is a little thin after key reserve Larry Nance Jr. suffered a bone bruise in his left knee that's expected to sideline him for at least four weeks.

But sources said they're weighing whether there are enough minutes to go around with the blossoming Julius Randle and Tarik Black playing the bulk of the frontcourt minutes with Nance out.

Motiejunas became an unrestricted free agent after a protracted contract saga with the Houston Rockets that spanned more than five months. The 7-footer, while still a restricted free agent, signed a four-year offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets in late November that was potentially worth up to $35 million. Houston matched the Nets' offer sheet but ripped up that deal, then reworked some of the contract terms in a new four-year deal after Motiejunas refused to report for his physical.

The Rockets ultimately decided to surrender its rights to Motiejunas and make him an unrestricted free agent after the 26-year-old finally took his physical. The Rockets decided to sever their ties to Motiejunas after four seasons together following negotiations with the player's agent, B.J. Armstrong, and league officials.

The Rockets traded Motiejunas to the Detroit Pistons as part of a three-way deal last February, but the Pistons rescinded the trade after a physical revealed concerns about Motiejunas' back. The Lithuanian struggled in restricted free agency to attract much outside interest until the Rockets pulled their two-year offer starting in the $7 million to $8 million range on Nov. 22. Houston was only willing to guarantee the first season of its original two-year offer in a nod to Motiejunas' injury history.

Motiejunas ended up rejoining the Rockets and playing the rest of the season. He recorded a double-double (14 points and 13 rebounds) in Houston's only win over Golden State in the teams' first-round series in the spring.

Once Black returns to health, Robinson will be expendible.

T Rob and Black are pretty redundant.

Wonder if the try to give D'Mo the same type of deal the gave Yi.

I swear internet rumors are just insane. 3 way deal between Lakers, Cavs and Knicks.

Lakers get Kevin Love and Kyle O'Quinn
Cavs get Melo
NY gets JC, Deng, Black and Cavs first round pick in 2018.
