Every decent coach will want job security. The lakers are only willing to go 2 years, 3 max to coincide with Brons tenure (allegedly offered Lue less than 3/18. This was their best offer). Many coaches will turn that down for 4-5 year deals. And with organizations less dysfunctional than the Lakers.

Only coach we getting is one with zero leverage. A coach nobody wants so he ain’t got a choice.
