Kuzma is just what he is at this point a wildly consistent offensive player. He always was the closest to his ceiling of the young core due to his age. He's probably peaked already. I for one am at peace with his consistent inconsistency.

As for these losses, Lebby has almost followed the exact same blueprint: not attacking the basket, shooting terrible from 3 and crucial dumb turnovers down the stretch of tight games. THAT is frustrating as well considering how high of a basketball IQ he has.

Nah, son. First win a championship we need Kuzma play better, smarter and be more consistent. Come playoff time our strategy can't be "LeBron and AD go for 35 a piece ever game". We can't be OK with Kuz getting 4 points and disappearing. He needs to step up. Period. He was pegged as our 3rd best player and he's probably been our 5th best player.

The only argument I’ll give Kuz for playing so poorly is if he’s still injured or recovering from the injury. If he claims to be 100%, then there should be no excuses. A diminished role does not mean his efficiency should drop. It does not mean he should be conceding buckets on defense. He’s in year 3, 25 years old, and is a career 33% 3pt shooter. He’s shooting a career low from the field. He doesn’t rebound well besides those 2 games, he doesn’t play D, and he doesn’t offer anything in terms of playmaking. People’s perception of Kuzma is way different than the reality of who he is as a player.

Exactly! If his role is to come in off the bench for 25 minutes a game and get buckets, go that well. If his role is to start alongside LeBron and AD, do that. The issue is that he does nothing consistently well. She'll get you 20 against the bad team but then completely disappear like he did against Philadelphia and last night.

the frustrating part about kuzma is that if he's not getting buckets, he's a net negative on the team. He's not a particularly good rebounder, playmaker or defender. If he's not scoring he's pretty much useless.

Anyone else confused about the whole DC situation?
Here’s a guy that leaked to the media that he was thinking of coming. Then it was for sure. Then it was to clippers or lakers. Then he texts Matt Barnes saying it’s 50-50. Then he’s seen hours after trade deadline with Jeanie and Kurt at dinner. Then he shows up to the game and sits in 2nd row but says “it was nothing”.
I’m still under belief that Jeanie was just looking for her next BBC to DP her while Phil Jackson holds the camera but why is drama always surrounding the lakers. Either sign or don’t you ******* *****. Either come out of retirement or don’t.

timing of it after trade deadline is most fishy to me. Maybe it’s all a coincident.Maybe he said “if you guys don’t trade for a pg I’m coming etc” all just strange. Smells ofKawhi last year where it was just one weird “coincident” after another

Kuzma deserves the slander he's receiving. He only had four points, shot under 30% and was getting cooked on defense all night. This is especially annoying after we chose not to trade him.

My overall opinion on kuzma hasn't changed. He's just not a smart player and I don't look forward to seeing him in the playoffs when teams actually game plan to attack weaknesses.

My only problem with that is we only seem to hold that game to game standards with everyone but Lebron. I agree Kuz had a poor game. But last time we played Houston Kuz switched onto Russ and slowed him down.

This game had more to do with Lebron being bone head at the end compared to Kuz.

Lebron usually plays 35 minutes a night. We hold him to high standards but it’s unrealistic to expect him to be able to give 100% every night for 35 minutes a game. He’s 35 years old. He’s saving his energy for the playoffs. It’s ok if he makes mistakes and doesn’t play that well for 5-6 minutes late in a game. We probably wouldn’t even be in the position to win the game if we didn’t have Lebron.

kuz’s role is a ******* role player. He is not the star. A role player should be able to bring the energy that the team needs and fill his ******* role. We’re not asking him to do everything for the team like we do with Bron. Just score 12-15 points and play with 100% energy/effort and be in the right ******* spots. He is 24 not 35. When he calls himself a walking bucket, says hes a 20 point scorer off the bench but gets cooked all game long on defense and puts up 4 points, you’re got damn right he’s gunna get slandered over Lebron.

AND HE DRESSES LIKE A ******* INSTAGRAM THOT.

AND he was our only avenue to improve the team but he couldn’t come through.
