**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

If we think this years LeBron is Jordan on the wizards, then do yourself a favor and just turn off your tv bc we won’t even make it past 1st round

Lol I'm saying that in response to "A GOAT shouldn't do the boneheaded things he loves to do." Lebron needs to clean it up, but he's proven come playoff time.

He supposed to be the GOAT.

A GOAT shouldn't do the boneheaded things he loves to do.
Ain’t no goat perfect
All the goats do boneheaded things lol can pull footage on anyone

my only thing is I hope he’s just doing this because he’s coasting until playoffs lol we shall see tho
I’m sure he’ll reach another gear but will he be able to sustain that gear for an entire run because THATs my number one concern

There’s no such thing as a perfect basketball player. Especially one that is 35. This is as good as it gets for 35. You can’t expect 2014-2016 Lebron during the regular season. Especially in the dog day’s of the season before all-star.

of course he needs to play better in late game situations but we all saw what Lebron did during the playoffs with the Cavs. until he demonstrates that he can’t play like that when it matters, it doesn’t make sense to blame Lebron for regular season losses.

We’ve lost 12 games this year. 12. It’s like some of y’all will only accept 82-0.

Only thing is the loses have often come against the WC contending teams and Bron and the entire team for that matter have looked outmatch in a lot of them

the glaring weaknesses are put on iMax 3D lmao

I pray this guy is playing some kind of long con rope a dope or something. Late game long range contested 3s in close games is never a good or smart play. Dude knows better than that. And yet we’ve been seeing it more and more.

Never said I was ok with it. Just resigned to the reality of that's what he is. That was the big risk about trading everything for AD this year. If we don't win the chip, we're ****** going forward.

Its not about the record man,

its about how this team plays....

we got 12 losses but lets be keep it 100% real

we aint looked good against a contender all year

but we look unstoppable playing basic teams

basic teams don’t make the playoffs.

facts and it’s a legit concern. We weren’t able to upgrade our roster due to having no mid level salaries either. Buyout market and Collison is our only chance to improve.

We’re not going anywhere if we don’t acquire another point guard + Vogel gives critical minutes to Rondo in the playoffs.

Lebron usually plays 35 minutes a night. We hold him to high standards but it’s unrealistic to expect him to be able to give 100% every night for 35 minutes a game. He’s 35 years old. He’s saving his energy for the playoffs. It’s ok if he makes mistakes and doesn’t play that well for 5-6 minutes late in a game. We probably wouldn’t even be in the position to win the game if we didn’t have Lebron.

kuz’s role is a ****ing role player. He is not the star. A role player should be able to bring the energy that the team needs and fill his ****ing role. We’re not asking him to do everything for the team like we do with Bron. Just score 12-15 points and play with 100% energy/effort and be in the right ****ing spots. He is 24 not 35. When he calls himself a walking bucket, says hes a 20 point scorer off the bench but gets cooked all game long on defense and puts up 4 points, you’re got damn right he’s gunna get slandered over Lebron.

AND HE DRESSES LIKE A ****ING INSTAGRAM THOT.

AND he was our only avenue to improve the team but he couldn’t come through.

So we're gonna kill the third year player trying to find his role in the offense and fire him up.... but we're gonna overlook Lebron AGAIN deciding to not attack the basket and instead make ridiculous passes & stepback threes when it matters?

This **** is becoming a pattern now at the end of the games & it has nothing to do with his age or being tired. this is the **** i've been talking about his whole career, there's no ******* reason in year 15 i have to wonder if one of the greatest ball players of all time is gonna decide to be aggressive when the games on the line :smh: .

I wouldn't even mind if he's having an off night & just missing but goddamn make the attempt. It seems like in every close game we lost against better comp, Lebron is holding the ball and making terrible forced passes, or dribbling the rock til the final seconds & bricking a step back 3.

they Also don't run NEARLY enough pick & roll with AD, We get him the ball with 10 seconds on the clock & then he ends up taking some off balance turnaround in the post.

These are bad habits their picking up thankfully they could be fixed, but we had no business losing that game yesterday. Especially with PJ playing with 5 fouls.

Problem is that Vogel is giving the keys to LeBron at the end of close games and expecting him to execute. Problem is, his bread and butter has always driving and kicking. But, he can no longer drive in. He can’t even take zubac off the dribble. Hence the long 3s.
Vogel gotta get creative and have schemes at the end. Maybe get AD some looks that are not him getting the ball lobbed to him with a shorter defender fronting and another pest behind him etc

Man, 5 damn pages, I thought maybe we had made a trade or someone was hurt or somethin.

I'm really at a loss for why folks are upside down right now. We played a gimmick team with a new personnel from the team we beat 2 weeks ago. We didn't have the practice time to prep for them, and with 4 minutes left in the game we had the lead and the ball.

Bron didn't close out wisely, but let's face it, he's also stolen some games we could have lost, so it evens out.

We have a 3 game lead, we need to make sure we buckle down and get homecourt and we'll be ok.

You guys gotta friggin relax. We could still add DC, we could still add another wing, and if we can lock down HC, then that means we limit travel and give Bron/AD the most amount of rest possible. Losing one freak game doesn't change that. If we played Houston for two weeks straight, Bron/AD/Vogel etc would make the adjustments they'd need to make. (namely fewer 3's) and would punish the Rockets over time with their size.

All this said, it does feel a bit like the old days when some of y'all would run thru the streets panicking like crazy with Kobe in his prime, Pau, Bynum, Odom, Fisher, Ariza, Phil ******* Jackson, and we lose a game to the Bobcats. "THIS IS IT, IT'S OVER, WE'RE DOOMED, WE SUCK, BAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH......"

Re-lax.

More Bron ad pnr and more Bron in the post

also think they gotta try to get ad in the lower block more cuz when he tries to catch it and post from the elbow that ****er thinks he’s KD lmao
