Talks about the play in the 4th where Fox drove and lots of people were saying RW fell asleep at the wheel…

“There was one possession I think late in the game where Kevin Huerter ran into a slip and it was my fault. I should’ve stayed with De’Aaron Fox when he drove downhill. Me and Russ just had a little miscommunication, but just things like that that could change the game. We’ll watch film and get better.”

Watching live I thought Fox was mismatched hunting Austin since the Lakers were switching on D but since there wasn’t actually a screen set there was no need to switch. Poor communication for sure

This is a good teammate. Trying to fall on the grenade for RW and taking the blame. Love the accountability young fella….

But if you watch the play russ is supposed to go over the top and switch, but he stays pat and fox blows right by him…you can see reaves is in position for the switch but russ sticks with the ball and austin throw his hands up in frustration and has to abandon the switch to stick to man.
