Decent little dive with cheap food/drinks, 5 mins from the Excalibur.

I watched Rua/Machida II a few weeks back there.
I heard that when a fight is in Vegas, no bars or hotels on the strip are allowed to show it.  Not sure why not, maybe some kind of regulation with the sportsbooks or something.

I might check out that Screwballs spot, I want to watch it since I couldn't afford actual tickets to the fight even though I saw some go for under face value.

Yep - any fight in Vegas is blacked out on the strip. We were too lazy to go to MGM for Mayweather/Mosley, and even in our $5,000/night suite, they wouldn't hook us up with the fight. Pretty wack but whatever.

Next weekend should be pretty fun.. MMA Expo, UFC 114, Encore/Surrender grand opening, Wet Republic line-up... stoked! But don't wanna leave L.A.

MGM shows all fights closed circuit but I'm not about to pay $50 to watch it there.

So some bars outside of the strip do show the fights though, right?

That was the 2nd time I was in Vegas on a UFC weekend, and both times the UFC wasn't in Vegas
smh.gif

First time was Serra/GSP II in Canada, and I had a helluva time finding a spot. Only spot I found was sould out, so I had to catch a stream at my cousins place.

Will be going back to LV the first weekend of August, and it happens to be another UFC weekend. But of course, it's gonna be in CALIFORNIA. FML.

Honestly the best club in vegas right now is XS, they play house music in the beginning but hip hop/rap by the end of the night. Next night we just bar hopped, hit the strips, got in LAX in Luxor, some dude was performing. What i learned:
- If you clubbing pick one spot and get there early. Drinks are 10+ dollars
- Dress to impress
- WOMEN, WOMEN, WOMEN they are everywhere so don't get too uptight if you get shutdown by one broad
- PREGAME in the hotel, PREGAME on the ride there, PREGAME while in line, save you some money
- HAVE A
Terrible $%# club, nothing but house music, continuous house music, all night house music, remixed house music, did I mention they play house music?! I hated it, both the DJs were black and I'm givin them the

and they lookin at me like

. Even though me and my girl got in free (connect), I'm never going back, wack $%# +%!$@#%# club.
what club is good then? with hiphop music.
Honestly, Hip-hop and Vegas don't really mix.  The one hip-hop place they had closed down recently.
You talking about Poetry in Caesar's Palace? Thats the only club off the top I can think of that was strictly hip-hop. Club wasn't that great anyways.

TAO and LAX. Sometimes The Bank.
How is The Bank anyway? I haven't really heard anything about it but it does look nice.

Its not bad, 3.5 outta 5 stars id say. Sunday is the best night to go its "Bank Night". The place is relatively small and gets packed, but its on point for the most part. Every time ive went ive had a blast there. Drinks are like $14 for a well so make sure you drink before you go.

GET THERE EARLY!!!!!!

I can't stress that enough, that place gets PACKED, standing room only, as soon as the fights start.

I got there at 5ish and there were already a few people there, and a few tables reserved.

Mojo, I'm going to try my best man but it's going to be hard for me to get there early as well. I had a feeling that spot gets crowded since they don't have a cover charge.

I been to the Bank twice, they play a good amount of hiphop. Body English plays hiphop and I heard Lavo does too. What about Tryst or Rain? I may hit those up next Friday.

Rain usually plays hip hop... if it's OK w/ you guys that it's not XS or TAO or Pure. There will still be a bevy of broads in that place.

Seen Xzibit there once.

Please approach him, ridicule him, take pictures, make him feel foolish, etc... etc...  Probably goes without saying, but he is the bachelor and I will do my best to subject him to ridicule for my entertainment.
