I'm glad someone agrees with me to an extent. Throw in Lin too and we get Yi and Crawford.

I'm building a championship team here. With the guidance of MJackson, we'll be playoff bound.

He's not bad, but Monta is on another tier/level compared to him. Trading Monta for McGee and Young and a few other pieces makes sense, but there's probably better deals out there.
Add in Biedrins and Yi and some fillers. Imagine Yi on the warriors

[h3]Possible Ellis deals[/h3]
11:43AM ET

[h5]Monta Ellis | Warriors[/h5]

UPDATE: David Aldridge of NBA.com offers this on Friday via Twitter: "Told this a.m. by source involved with Ellis trade talk that there's 'nothing imminent' happening. Didn't say a trade wouldn't happen, though."

---

We've heard about Golden State talking to Philadelphia about a swap of Monta Ellis for Andre Iguodala and the San Francisco Chronicle lists Josh Smith[Atlanta], Rudy Gay [Memphis], Wesley Matthews [Portland] and Nicolas Batum [Portland] as potential targets for the Warriors.

According to The Oakland Tribune, other proposed deals are Ellis for Luol Deng [Chicago] and Nene Hilario [Denver].

Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports Ellis' agent, Jeff Fried, is working with the Warriors to find a good trade for his client and the team.

At the end of the day Ellis could remain with Golden State, but the odds are against it.

Personally, I like Batum/Matthews deal. Team needs depth, that's probably the best way to get it and they both defend. Monta is a really good player, but he really needs to go to improve the team

i don't really like wes 'cause he's kinda just points only, but batum is very interesting although inconsistent.

i wouldn't do deng for ellis straight.

and i don't see denver not re-signing hilario.

getting smoove would be nice, but that doesn't really help ATL as they need a center, already have a 2, and insist on playing marvin williams.

pretty sure gay won't get moved either.

Seriously. Batum is ridiculously underrated. Wes is a legit starting 2, or would be a great 6th man if you wanted to start Batum instead. It'd be nice to have two long defenders out on the perimeter...only thing missing is a legit shotblocker that the defense can funnel players into.
