Lock please, thanks. Warriors 2011/2012 Thread Up.

I'd be all for trading Curry ONLY if we move Biedrins with him, but it wont happen. Monta is the odd one out, and it sucks. He's gonna have to take off the tattoo

Would we be trading Curry just to be getting rid of Biedrins? Or to actually improve this team? I can't really see it being both because you're losing a lot of talent in Curry ...

I think Curry + Andris could yield more than Monta could.

Really? Now the whole universe knows they're getting a heaping pile of %++$ in Biedrins ....
Reading Bill Simmons I'm convinced there won't be basketball so I'm not going to worry all that much about this.  At this moment in time I'm indifferent about these Monta rumors.  It would be nice to see a change in the lineup because I'm convinced it would be more of the same if Monta stays.  Lee's elbow injury be damned.  We saw last season what we have and its a sub 40 win team.

But at one point Biedrins showed promise. Im sure someone would be willing to take a chance they could turn him back into a 10 and 10 guy. Plus he is only 25 remember.

Maybe Im trippin. I just think that because teams would love to get Curry, they'd be willing to take the chance with Andris.

That would be ideal. The Nets are in limbo with Deron Williams, maybe we can offer them Curry + Beans? But that probably makes too much sense to actually happen.

Unrealistic or not....

DWill Curry
Monta Wright
Wright >>> Iguodala
Lee Lee
Udoh Biedrins

I think Monta is just a better player all around than Curry, true PG or not. And if Monta is better, yet we could get more for Curry, I dont see the problem.

if there were any way to get better without trading Monta, i would be all for it, but i dont think there is :/

btw Mark Jackson said on Chronicle Live that he doesnt like any of the trades that have been proposed for Monta, and doesnt want to trade him for "those guys".

I'm all with dland. I agree that Monta is better overall. Let me say, I do like the guy, but I don't see it in Curry. Granted Curry's entering year 3 and he still is improving, but Curry lacks the footspeed, strength, and athleticism (just like Steinmetz points out). If indeed the Warriors aren't seeing any deal that they like for Monta, maybe it's time to look at Curry and Biedrins.

I think Curry has the higher upside, and they're sticking to him because of that. Also because he's younger, but i also agree moving Monta isnt the right move.

Not that i believe this stat, but i'm curious to the "winshares" that both of them are worth. I'd explore moving Curry first, and take on the right deal whether it involves moving Beans or not.
