Mass Shooting Thread: Waiting on the next one.

I'm more one of those, guns don't kill people, people kill people. How do you propose they make it easier to get guns? Tests? More paperwork? Crazy white folks gonna pass that easy, because crazy white folks gonna be administering the test to them. Plus they can build guns at home. 3d print ar15s. And also...always and forever... internet. Where there's a will, there's a way.

You act like the average citizen has access to a 3D printer that has the capability to print a AR15. Do you know anyone with a one of that’s capability because I don’t?

Exactly. Turns out carrying doesn’t equate to being John Rambo in these spontaneous shooting situations. Who could’ve ever guessed. :rolleyes

The average citizen can shoot at the range 24/7 and they’d never be prepared for an active shooter situation. The narrative that we’re safer with more guns out there has gotta stop. Clearly we’re not.

question here, let's say the government hypothetically does a gun ban (they never will) do you think that there is no longer gonna be a black market for guns? We see how easy it is for people to get things on the black market such as Drugs, Identities, Sex trafficking....... what leads you to believe that this wouldn't happen with guns?

The issue is the people, the ideology... that is what needs to be attacked.

You're saying it like it can't be done. It hasn't had to be done. It wasn't a necessity. People are very resourceful, both when they want to do good and bad. If there's no opportunity, they create one. I don't know anyone with a 3d printer at all, but I know that they're out there. I've seen in on the web and on YouTube. If I've seen then, surely others have too.

The powers that be share the same exact ideology that the shooters share except they get to enact their deadly attacks and hatred through systematic laws.. they play for the same team & this will never change until they are violently challenged unfortunately.

That’s the sick part. And the reason for all the bs going on today. White people scared of losing power through changing demographics and cultural shifts. They truly think that people wanting equality and access to the things they’ve been given will somehow take away from them.

Great replacement. It’s sick. At our highest levels in government...that ideology is the driving force in the political divide currently.

This is why VOTING...and making sure you’re represented to vote matters. Everything on this country centers on race. Full stop.

By the early 1970s....most white people felt America has “done enough” for black people. This was a mere few years after civil rights legislation passed.

Allan Bakke was crying about “reverse discrimination” after black people were denied access to these same universities for hundreds of years...a few years after the civil rights act passed :smh:.

The fear of “the chickens coming home to roost” drives this. Except, people of color don’t want to do the horrors that were done to them. We just want to live in a society with the same access to the “American dream” that’s been GIVEN to white people for centuries. That’s scary to them.

Die Hard (one of my favorite films ever) is like the absolute best case scenario of a "good guy with a gun".

A guy who happened to be a veteran cop on vacation that was in the right room at the right time.

Gotta love how stupid the Republicans are: They don't think that mass shootings can be stopped, when we have hard data that they can be cut down significantly in other countries, but they think that they can stop the oldest instinct in the history of man kind: People migrating in search of a better life for themselves and their families.

It's a crazy concept to think that white men LEGITIMATELY think they are at risk in this country, in all honesty for just a month i would love to see how this country reacted if minorities really lived up to racist stereotypes they portray. If just for one month we actually turned into these vengeful, aggressive people they paint us out to be.

We’ll never get rid of all guns. We’re well past that at this point—you can’t put the cat back in the bag.

I don’t have a solution, tbh. I was just attacking the common talking point they we’re safer as a society with more weapons in the hands of “good guys”.

And I agree 100% with attacking the ideology. I just happen to think that this feeling of power and being a tough guy with a gun plays into the ideology of the fragile white dude who generally commits these mass shootings.

Christ Church shooter called Trump a joke, because Trump wasn’t hurting minorities ENOUGH for his like :lol. He basically said trump talked a good game, but went half way with it.

There’s a direct correlation between right wing extremists and white terrorist who espouse the same ideologies of Trump/GOP. And they are responsible for a vast amount of the mass shootings and domestic terrorism in the USA. Hell, they’ve been at the forefront of domestic terrisom forever in this country. You refuse to ignore it.

That’s on you.

Do y'all not realize that white people have been systematically trying to create a world with out us?

An entire country where we do all the work and are considered chattel property and not citizens.

Entire cities and neighborhoods designed for whites only.

A whole movie/entertainment industry that they are shown to the world as the only characters.

Majority of these white supremacist just became white 50 years ago.

Same folks who families came to Ellis island in the early 1900s got the nerve to tell someone who been here since the 1600s to go back home.

White people have systematically gone around the word to replace everyone where they're naturally at and taking the best for themselves.

When you're a white male and you've been raised in a society where all the benefits are given to you, multiple layers of security blankets and generational wealth, and you look around and see other races despite all their systemic handicaps thrive work same company you work at, attract women the women you want for yourself dominate be athletics, and prosper in any way it goes against what the racist world they grew up in promised them.

Company I work for has lots of nepotism going on. Mind you I worked my position for over 7 years. One white managers brings his sons into my department and one of these dudes has been very vocal about having my job. He has no experience but feels like I'm where he should be. He and the manager are in on it together to replace me. I heard that he transfers a lot of calls to me directly and him and the manager ( his dad's friend) take notes and listen to how I work taking notes to replace me. I'm training my self entitled replacement. Dude is homeschooled and this is definitely his first time around black ppl. I'm the only black male in my department and the youngest person so I always have to deal with shhh from people. But I know my stuff and my work held to a higher standard. Sucks.

such a shame we live where people that shouldnt have guns can get them and high numbers of them.

like someone said, some nut killing children didnt change anything with a dem prez no chance it ever happens..zero

what really needs to happen is the public should only be allowed revolver and a law magazine hunting rifle.

but its too late, the number of guns out there is over 300 million and growing.

change will never happen folks, the change will be that you need to buy your kids bullet proof backpacks and when out in public have a captain America shield. or everyone has guns and we bring back the wild wild west days where people get shoot for looking someone wrong in MUCH higher numbers than we have now.

funny thing is people keep saying guns dont kill people, people kill people. those people understand its a problem, they caulk it up to just what we have to deal with to have their rights. unless it hits their family they don't give a damn.

Dayton, OH Mayor Nan Whaley says the shooter was wearing body armor and used a “.223 high-capacity” gun and had additional magazines with him. There are 10 people dead including the shooter, 26 others injured.
Officers neutralized the shooter in less than a minute. The mayor said it was -- a young white male. I believe she may have said his age, I believe early 20s but I don't know for sure. He came not from the city of Dayton, he came from a town in Montgomery County nearby"

thanks to the "leader" of the country creating an environment of targeting minorities with hate speech (by example) and with violence (by laughing at jokes about it), the racial tension in our country has exploded. sandy hook and LITTLE *** KIDS getting murdered didn't do ****, i don't expect minorities getting targeted to change anything, either. it's ******* sad, man
