MAX | Out Now |

I thought it was aight. I'm not too hard to please.. I went into the movie expecting cool monster fights and fan service, that's what I got. If you're expecting some deep meaning and thought-provoking story, then you came to the wrong place.

It's Godzilla vs King Kong with CGI and big monsters fighting...

and if you didn't see Godzilla vs Kong in IMAX or Dolby you did yourself a disservice in the first place. 🤷‍♂️

I havent watched yet but it has a 76% score on RT. Y'all making it seem like it's terrible. I just watched the 2019 one yesterday and it got a lower score
i think the 76% is valid. the movie aint gonna get any oscar nominations but its entertaining enough. brainless summer flick - in the category of a transformer movie, and probably better than most of those imo.

Better than the first Transformers? In some ways (the CGI action). But the acting, human characters were better in the first Bayformers (but GvK has more action from the true stars).

I watched it in my friend's movie theater. 100-inch screen, rear projection, state of the art sound system. That was enough. It blew hippo ***. Glad I didn't waste any more money on it than my MAX sub (I logged into mine on his system because he doesn't have it).

Just finished King Kong vs Godzilla. I thought it was entertaining. The only thing that I didn't like was some questionable lack of military involvement in Hong Kong, like are you really gonna let them duke it out and destroy your crown jewel city without intervening? Also, the Carrier group would've detected Godzilla coming from hundreds of miles away and would've acted way sooner. Anyways, it's a movie made for entertainment so I don't want to knit-pick too much, good fight scenes, great visual effects, and serviceable story.

What effect has the military had on da God in any of these movies?

What about the physical security involved with the conspiracy storyline? There is no way such a secretive organization like Apex wouldn’t have had better biometrics, video monitoring, drones, badging, patrols, etc.

Or why would a skull be doing what it did? Whereas in an old movie, they used the bones of the OG Godzilla for Mecha Godzilla.

Also in the movies, due to the Kaiju threat, infrastructure would have been built to detect, deter or destroy them.

It’s like they couldn’t go watch the Godzilla movies from the last two decades.

Shin Godzilla is definitely the best Godzilla movie in the last 10 years. The original Legendary reboot wasn’t a bad movie. Less camp, more tense, coherent human story. But the story has become the victim for more fun.

I can’t believe Kong got washed TWICE. I was gonna give him a pass after the first washing because he was drugged up, got a late start, and it was an away game, but absolutely no excuses for that second washing. He even had his ancestral weapon. :smh: :smh:

KING GODZILLA.

cause they was cheatin.. did my man dirty..

What is it called? :nerd:

I agree with the first point.

Both of those scenerios is psuedo-science, but it doesn't bother me because that **** happens all of the time in the Sci-fi genre.

That's true, you would think they would have counter-measures against Kaiju's like Pacific Rim, but I turned my brain off for that.

None of these were enough to me to dislike this movie though, I enjoyed most of it.

Man... The Q doc was something else. There are so many things that come to mind but I'd like to hear your opinion on freedom of speech on the internet. Should certain content be censored? It seems like when you give people free range, some turn it into this toxic thing. On the other hand, if you start to censor certain things then it opens up a slippery slope. Any thoughts out there?
