Millennials Are Running Out of Time to Build Wealth #brokebois

Waaaaaaaay too many people spending $700 on tennis shoes and the newest iphone every year but live in their moms basement. Everybody wants to be out and about and just spending money wildly/freely, instead of stacking.

life is hard, I get it. But why make it harder by being dumb with your money
 at saying a 700 dollar phone will make u broke.

the problem is not that people are lazy or dont wanna hustle their butt off
the problem is before you can graduate high school and live within your means and have access to home ownership and be able to support a family

hell al bundy was a shoe salesman supporting a whole family

yall are blind, the people at the top are taking bigger cuts off the top and yall are worried about working harder

it should be viable for someone to have one full time job and be able to afford an apartment hell even a small home.

its all backwards nowadays, wack old home going for a mil in cities like LA, NY SF

Right? Old people create market, old people hoard the market, old people destroy and inflate the market, it’s the new generations fault? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Once you realize life isn’t easy and life isn’t fair life becomes a lot easier. When you hardwire hard work as your expectation it’s a game changer. Never really happens to most people and they feel like victims and let daily emotions dictate long term purpose. Took me getting into 100k+ debt and rock bottom to chisel down to the simplicity of life.

control your effort and you’ll be content.

means different things for someone in a wheelchair and someone that’s an ultra marathoner. What they share is the underlying deep seeded content feeling if they feel they are living with purpose.

It's really not complicated; wages just haven't kept up with inflation. It's not because boomers worked harder, are more educated, or financially savvy.

People be like "jUst WoRK haRdEr". Bro, somebody has to be a teacher, garbage collector, postal service worker, etc. You should be able to live a decent life doing so, but it's kinda hard to buy a house, save money, etc. when the average salary is 60K, but the average house is 500K. That wasn't the case for boomers.

Also, saying ppl choose to be broke is some of the most privileged, asinine, headass **** I've heard in a minute.

I said $700 shoes. And 1 pair of shoes isnt gonna make you “broke.” But when people constantly buying all the new **** just to keep up with the Jones’, buying a new $1000+ phone every single year, all that **** eventually adds up.

Buying shoes alone isn’t gonna not let you afford a house, I’m just saying spending unnecessarily will definitely hold you back.

But y’all can take whatever you want and just blame the government. The government needs to pay my student loans blah blah blah. Somebody makes it out and people on here just say no no no just because you found a way that doesn’t apply to me blah blah **puts on flame suit**

Lady working 2 janitorial jobs back to back to barely make it must be lazy and wasteful.

^Boomers had plenty who weren’t/aren’t good with $, but had many more opportunities to flourish. They had credit card interest be Tax deductible at one point
It’s interesting how ppl where all for spending on government programs and laws to help ppls pockets back then, but now those same cats cry bout “hand outs” , socialism” and “the economy” …N even worse got some younger folks going along with em  :smh:

And not only the wages but there is little to no help from the govt like they had back then, everything gets blocked for whatever reason now…They were giving houses away, college was cheap af and giving out jobs to build any and everything to put bread in ppls pockets when the old heads was coming up …Building the highway system was a nice lick for alotta ppl

What a word salad just to say tough it out.

Baby boomers: I got my job fair and square!

*women were to stay at home and were not “trusted” with an education. Hiring minorities meant whites would not enter your building. Blacks were to go to black buildings
