Moments That Made You Realize You’re Washed

yea if participating in full court run w/the YNs on a random one @ 40+….that is cooked behavior, not only because it is unwise but risky 😬😂 that noted if you never stop or ease back into it w/realistic type vibes it’s good work…at every point in my hoop ‘career’ played with countless 40+ dudes who gave out that work using the ‘old head’ trick bag 😂 just be smart & good with your limitations/ego

Back in college, there was always that one PhD student/prof/random staff member who was there on some random Wednesday during pick up. You'd think to yourself, "this guy is washed, this should be an easy match up" until they start serving some nasty dishes and pull out the crafty footwork that always has you going for the fake lol.

Then one day, you become that player lol

I have definitely become this guy lol

I used to hoop in hs and was pretty good back in the day, played pick up for the first time in years last week. I def heard some chuckles when I offered to guard the best player on the other team. Felt good to lock him up and eventually got buckets on offense and got a few dimes off. :pimp:

To your point though, my perspective has completely changed lol, I was the guy 10 years ago playing pick up 3-4 times per week. I lived for those games lol

Now, tbh they may be laughing at my old ***, but I am definitely laughing at them. Fake machismo, getting upset at foul calls (I never was that guy but I am even more annoyed by it now) walking off the court in anger mid game (one guy actually did this after he wasn't getting the ball) Another guy thought I was talking **** about him (I was actually talking **** about MY TEAM) lol and asked what I said as if he would have done anything regardless...it goes on and on

It feels good to be the old guy who is just there to run up and down, get a few nice passes off to prove I had it at one point lol. Get a little handle practice and hit the machines. I couldn't imagine caring whether I win or lose with pick up games especially when all it takes is one out of shape guy or a chucker to ruin a game.

Also, I played last Wednesday. Still sore

I thought I was hurting after running a game of Pick up that was full court last Christmas.
Nah buddy that was lightwork.
I started a YOGA class. I could chose the x3 per week or x2 and I was told to do 1-2 max, but I did the x3 time.
I had to skip day3 after showing up and not being able to begin on the day of the third class.
Oh man, I had pains in my damn underarm hair. I hurt in places I didn't know I had feeling.
Fine now but week 1 was stupid

yoga is just a different thing, it’s almost like doing isometric holds in positions & using muscles you don’t normally use of course it would fry you if you actually put in a good effort…once you get used to it, you won’t get nearly as sore

even if not on the precipice of washedness but maybe especially if one is indeed fully washed, getting access to a pool or being able to spend some time in the water is a great way to get some joint relief &/or rehab aches & injuries
