NBA Draft Thread 2011

I'm with Kahn on this one, Milicic is a totally different player than Kanter. You can only draft williams if you clear out your roster, you have to keep in mind that it isn't even june yet though, he (Kahn) could be hustling for some real offers from teams who really want Kanter.  I mean Beasely gotta be worth a first round pick in this draft, I am not buying the wolves wanting to keep this guy, they watched last years team.

Dre...what you think about that?  Do you think he's 100% healed from his injury?  Seems odd...especially since some other PGs over the years (who have been #1 overall picks) have gone thru the testing.

Random draft thoughts.

1. Enes Kanter seems to replicate many of Kevin Loves abilities, this seems dumb to me.

2. If the cavs are smart they take Kyrie and Jonas V and call it a night, they fit perfectly, Jonas has the best pick and roll timing and awarness of any prospect.

The hype already has him slotted for being the #1 pick. There's nothing that he can gain by doing these workouts. It's a smart move.

"Well our (Duke's) season ended badly, but I got 28 points in the loss so I'm cool with it."

Irving on Jim Rome is Burning. Hopefully, quoted out of context.

Yeah, the combine testing only reinforced it, Derrick Williams can't play three, it would just be stupid, he's a mediocre athlete for a 3, above average for a 4, his ball handling is suspect.
I watched Tristan Thompson lock this dude up for 48 minutes and he could not get buy him, Tristan is comparable athletically to an average NBA 3, does he believe he's going to get by ANY competent defender at the three spot, he has the size and bulk to ply 4 so just play 4.

Have you seen Luol athletically?  Stop using these dumb +!$$%*% combine tests as litmus tests for what a player can do in the league.  Ball is ball and isn't played using numbers, especially numbers that aren't coming about in game type scenarios but rather structured drills.
