What do you expect the owner to say before a season, I'm going to trade the only reason you people have to buy season tickets?
He's tryin to keep the value up as much as he can.
He won't get dealt anytime soon, but if they aren't improving, and losing money by the bucket full, and someone comes with just a great offer, thatdude be lookin hard at it, he's lyin if he says otherwise.

That was the team president not owner. Y'all acting like the Hornets are in such a financial bind. There were like 5 games that separated 2-6in the west. They burnt out. They still had a respectable winning percentage with that roster. Shinn trades CP or lets him walk I am going to tell you now endof franchise. Who remembers the playoff games in New Orleans against Denver? !%#% was pitiful. Had to cover the entire arena with yellow tees to hide all the empty seats

So, they were trying to trade Chandler during the middle of the season to improve the team?They haven't signed anybody at all, but that's not financial? Letting Pargo go after they signed Posey to a big deal? Those are things that make one think they have some financial issues goin on.
Agreed though, that franchise is dead if they move Paul, we all know that.
Meaning they need to do a complete overhaul. No they can not sign anyone but a main reason as I stated earlier was they were hampered by injuries. All HornetFans know this next season isn't going to be the one they get that chip but after that season they have Peja huge contract in the last year. The Hornetswill contend for the playoffs but not for the title anytime.

Brandon Bass donned a Magic uniform and addressed the media for the first time on Monday afternoon. My first impressions: he's not that tall but he's very, very big - his shoulders are almost Dwight-like. He comes across as a young guy who genuinely has the best interests of the team in mind, and I think there's little doubt that he'll blend in with the players just fine.

Q: Is it true that you gave up more money elsewhere?
Brandon Bass: Yeah, I did. I definitely wanted to have the raise, but I would turn down a couple million to be in a situation like this where I can win a championship. I feel like this is that kind of team we have here.
Q: Your agent said you weren't necessarily looking for a place to start. What kind of role do you expect with the team?
BB: Just someone that can come in and help instantly. It don't matter if I start or come off the bench. I just want to be able to help, and I know I can.
Q: What do you feel you bring to the team?
BB: Someone who can knock down a 15-footer, someone who can drive, someone who can play defense, someone who can run alongside Dwight… I think I fit to this team perfectly and hopefully it shows on the court this year.
Q: You're able to mix it up at center and power forward? Does it matter to you where you play?
BB: I don't have a problem playing wherever. Whereever coach puts me at, whatever my job title might be, I'll be ready for it.
