New Season Thread Made, Move on Over :)

Should've stayed his *** in Houston. I absolutely cannot stand that dude and his lazy shortcut defense. I use to want to throw the remote at the damn tv these last couple years that he wore the purple and gold.
Is The Machine still available? What I'd give to see him playing for us next year.

Read your statement, then saw that, and automatically your opinion went to the garbage for me. :D

Marquee games from the schedule:

Opening Day: vs. Dallas
Christmas Day: vs. New York
MLK Day: ?

Being the NBA's third big marquee matchup day, I can see the MLK day game being against Boston or Brooklyn. Also:

vs. OKC: Jan 11, Jan 27
@ OKC: Dec 7, Mar 5

vs. MIA: Jan 17
@ MIA: Feb 10

MLK Day game is @ Chicago.
Really favorable home stretches in the beginning and end of the season.

Nothing new. It's been like that for years where November & December are front loaded with a bunch of home games.

Then late January and early February we hit the rode because the Grammy Awards takes over Staples Center & LA Live.

14-3 start would be nice, think we'll definitely need HC advantage against OKC this year.

Sweet lord I hope not. U must have missed him last yr in Memphis. Dude is dead. Beyond dead. George a romero wouldn't even sign him

he played 17 games and 12.4 minutes and avg.4.2, nothing huge, but given more minutes i think he can avg. 10 ppg off the bench..

given more minutes he'd be on IR lmaoo

as far as the whole dwight fiasco , i would try and shop bynum elsewhere , just to let our nuts hang

on the magic , give the rockets bynum for lamb/motiejunas and a first . cut off their last option. he'd literally

have no where else to go but dallas , with a 35 yr old dirk. give the magic pau , and we'll eat j rich's contract

lamb,motiejunas,dwight going forward.

if we KNOW dwight's comin to LA then why on earth would he just GIVE them bynum.....they have no leverage.

Would backfire on us terribly...

We can't get Dwight without a third team. End of story. Period.

So trading Bynum to Houston for young guys and a pick doesn't get us anything.. And Magic wouldn't accept Pau for Howard under any circumstance.

And even if they did, we'd have less of shot winning a title.

we'd definately won't be as "win now" , but if he can get dwight , and a young core.. we'd be set for the future.

ive been wanting a young shooting guard like lamb to sit and for kobe to take under his wing for a few years now

There's no such thing as future for us. Risk possible titles now for even less likely titles in the future is bad management. And when we don't get Dwight, which we wouldn't by going this route, we dont have a present or future. Your scenario and still landing Dwight is impossible by Mitch's standards.

A partial rebuild is not possible for us, and if it was...it'd have to be a franchide changing player I.e. Lebron rookie ability. Lamb is no where close to a franchise changing status

would he be considered a upgrade over ghoudelock?

i didnt follow him after kentucky

same age basically , meeks a bit more seasoned and bigger ...put down 138 3 balls in 2010-2011 on 27 minutes a game ,

seems like the type of player that would compliment nash

As far a being strictly a backup SG yes..........Goudelock can be productive for this team, just not as a PG or a pure/true SG. They need to use him as a specialist, coming off picks, and running set plays to get him open looks behind the arc

yeah.....figured... goudelock doesnt really have the size to be a a 2 , or the court vision to be a 1 ....i dont have a problem

with him coming off the bench and just knocking down open three's the only

problem is ........................................him actually knocking down open three's
