New Season Thread Made, Move on Over :)

I'm on board with CJ MIles, kid has always been tough out in Utah, and I suspect he could be solid with Nash gettin him looks. And he and Jamison off the bench gives us actual guys that can score the ball, something we didn't have last year.

At this point, we might as well just add pieces and forget about dealing with Orlando. I said in 2010 Dwight would be with us, I had no idea it would be this freaking dramatic. I'm worn out from it all, rather just keep building for these next 2 years and go from there. Let Dwight rot in Houston or Cleveland, or Orlando, wherever. His own damn fault. And this coming from a guy that wanted him and J-Rich no question. But Orlando is simply murder to deal with.

They're never going to stop dealing with Orlando....

Dwight > Bynum

And Dwight turns us from Contender to Favorite... That's why Buss, Mitch, etc. will keep trying

We don't become favorite upgrading Bynum to Dwight. A favorite, sure, not thee. As is we're already a top 3-4 team in the league health provided. Sitting around with our thumb up our *** waiting for a dysfunctional franchise to make a damn call is a horrible way to do business. If we can get Miles and Meeks, and be done wtih the squad, do that. Don't pass up players on an already top 3-4 team hoping to go from 3 to 2. That don't make no sense.

I want Dwight, sure, but Orlando is a garbage franchise that has no idea how to run things. And if they are going to insist that we take all 6 of their bad contracts (ok just 4) then no. And this on again, off again, on again, off again, on again, off again, on again, off again, on again, **** me running with this @#$%^&*(

Deepen the bench, roll out 5 above quality starters, a better deeper bench, a "regular" regular season, and roll some dice. Don't sit by the phone all summer/fall/winter/trade deadline waitin for a bunch of losers to call.

Everybody that pays attention to the NBA knows the Lakers are about the last team with a realistic chance of getting Dwight, and keeping Dwight, yet Orlando keeps @#$%^&* around with everybody, lookin completely ridiculous. We don't need that.

We can do both... Get Miles..

Miles, Jamison, Hill is extremely solid... Blake and Ebanks is ok to round out a bench.

But still make the call to Orlando and try to land Dwight.

And yes Dwight turns us from a contender to the favorite.. Especially if we get another quality bench piece in the deal.

I was just thinking about how it's sad that when most us search Mamba on YouTube it's "old Kobe highlights"

SMH. Damn he may be done in 2 years.

That's crazy.

NBA: CJ Miles looking to give great depth to the Los Angeles Lakers bench... Deal looks to be close... 1-2 yr mini-mid level deal

8o

^ He'd basically be our replacement to Matt Barnes. I'd say he's a slight improvement over Barnes. Much younger and a couple more ppg. I'm down.

Can someone tell me this dude's upside? His stats look :x
I agree, his stats are :x :{ but i can see him as a good energy or spark off the bench. It's like we're getting a younger matt barnes

He's a decent defender.. He can score...

"Miles took a strong step forward as the go-to guy for Utah's second unit, averaging better than a point every two minutes -- the eighth-best scoring rate among small forwards.('10-'11)" Even last year he had a point every 2.24minutes.. Luol Deng who is better because he's a defensive player scored 1 point every 2.57minutes..

Our bench needs scorers.. He's a scorer...

You assume Jamison & Miles both come out with 24 minutes each.. If they both get 10ppg. That is equal to what we had in our entire bench. And we still have 42 minutes of bench time for Blake, Hill and everyone else...

Scorers, Scorers, Scorers..

In the grand scheme of team-ism (yes I made it up).. First to 100 wins.
Our Starters easily put up 70+ a night..
Which means we need 30 points from our bench..

Numbers aside, he was an average player on an average jazz team....with us all that would be asked of him is to be an average player on a good teams bench. IMO he's fully capable of that

we need to get tmac. son would be an outstanding general on the floor with his passing ability. yea hes done as far as his athleticism is concerned but he would work wonders with the second unit and spell reliefs for nash and back up point guard passing duties...

I understand your thinking but...

What part of this whole Dwight saga is attractive to you guys?

Do you honestly think that this will NOT happen to the next team he goes to?

It will. This WILL BE the Nets... or us.

And at what cost? He took them to ONE Finals.

That's not necessarily true......by saying that you're comparing the small market magic and unproven nets to the big market/history ridden Laker franchise. No way in hell the Lakers would have themselves in this type of situation
