New York City is edging toward financial disaster, experts warn

Yeah I'm cool. I've probably heard Montana being mentioned less than 5 times in my life.

The thought of laying 6 months rent off a quarter of $6k is nuts tho.

250 a month on rent is wild but the nearest McD's is hours away...hours b.

House/apartment would have to have the dopest setup/entertainment system and always stocked with everything.

i mean...we're in a drug epidemic now....

if da rich keep escaping NYC, services gonna be cut, and da death spiral will commence...

Kinda want this to happen in a way. That gritty NYC feel will come back. Be on some warriors type steez. 1970s black out steez.

I by no means want NYC to return to the dark ages, but I wouldn’t mind if the housing market were to be humbled. Rent/cost of living is reprehensible, and these out of town transplants have no qualms with doling out a fortune every month. You have to make at least 100k just to get by here. I had to escape across the river to feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.

This is exactly what the ppl in charge want...The city limits especially the inner city to be just for the rich and tourists, everybody else gets moved further out...outta sight, outta mind

White flight and crack messed that model up, but now its turning back around n most places in this country gon be like the cities in the rest of the world

We aren’t wanted here, I don’t want to leave when I purchase a property but it’s no space in the city. Houses are expensive and on top of each other. They want it to be a renters city. I read an article about the abundance of vacant apts and dudes ain’t budging on the prices to be realistic

just watched a doc on Basquiat where they showed 1980s NYC. A lot of creative stuff going on like art and rap

The LES and Soho were bombed out and depleted. Everything below 14th street was nearly pitch black dark. Weird sex s&m clubs everywhere

Nah, a lot of these doctors are only concerned about financial gain/ego. I see it first hand everyday. Also this incoming generation of MD’s that are gonna be responsible for our care when we’re the elderly are already a lost cause

Maybe the ones with private practices. Sure. Not the ones practicing in some of the top health institutions. Atleast not in my experience.

New incoming doctors? Everyone gotta start somewhere though. You’re gonna make mistakes, experience and passion go a long way though.

We know America doesn't care about the homeless and poor and only wants to offer them "thoughts and prayers". My theory is that Trump and company wants to increase the cost of living to whatever will cast out the most minorities and poor people. He wants us to die on the street, likethe homeless are now, because we can't afford $6500 for a studio apartment. But this is a Godly country :smh:

I would like to think that that wouldn’t happen but with how soft Americans are you never know.

"Please bring back rampant drug use, dark streets and crime back to my city. I like it when I don't safe."

 :rolleyes
Back in the day there used to be blocks that people literally would avoid for years.... walk like 3 blocks out the way just not to be seen.. lol

i never felt scared in the city except in brownsville or ENY

every other hood is whatever

boat load of apts available, just not enough money to put people in them....

2,000 a month for a 1 br in a 100 year old building with bad heat and dirty hallways...

You gotta take into account the demographics that some of these top health institutions serve. There’s definitely a difference in the level of care in certain communities.

As far as new incoming doctors, I work among medical students, house officers, residents and attendings. The compassion/bedside manner is definitely lacking, and I find it upsetting personally. In a lot of cases it’s learned behavior that trickles down from the top. Some people have it, some don’t.

Took me a minute to find my spot. Still gems in NYC just have to hunt hard. I saw some horrible places they was charging more than my current spot. Bronx is only place left partially, they gentrifying the south bx, see more and more non colored folks in my building

You can give me a spot for free and I still wouldn't live in Montana

Bruh I lived in Montana for 2 1/2 yrs. brutal winters, white women that can’t dance, surprisingly a lot of Indians, casinos and cheap rent. I would never ever go back to that state, not to visit, not to pass through. No parts of Montana. F’k that state. Billings was cool but that’s it. I still have a bank account out there, that I need to close and said screw it. I ain’t going’s back.
