i am a fan its just i hate when big budget movies fail and the only way they dont fail is if they have big names to attract casual movie goers
they are talking about sequels for this movie already but if this bombs you know its going to be one and done

‘42′ Star Chadwick Boseman Could Be Marvel’s Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman got a big career boost this spring by playing baseball hero Jackie Robinson in 42, and now he may be on the verge of raising his profile even further by playing a superhero. According to a new report, Boseman is the favorite to take the lead in Marvel’s Black Panther, long rumored to be part of the studio’s plans for Phase Three. Hit the jump for details.
Latino Review reports that Boseman is at the very top of Marvel’s shortlist for the role. Nothing’s official yet — Boseman has yet to receive an offer, let alone close a deal, and for the moment his reps are remaining tight-lipped. Marvel hasn’t said anything either. But considering how great the site’s track record is with Marvel Studios scoops, I’m inclined to believe this rumor may actually pan out.
The report comes a few weeks after Morris Chestnut hinted that he could be up for the Black Panther part. Chestnut quickly retracted the suggestive tweet, however, and we haven’t heard about any serious candidates since then.
A Black Panther movie has been has been in the works for a while now, and a couple of years ago the studio actually hired Mark Bailey to write the screenplay. The film still has no release date or director, so we won’t see it before Phase Three kicks off in 2015. But if they’re casting the role now, that could mean Black Panther will crop up in a supporting role in the near future — perhaps in The Avengers 2.
Boseman fits right in with Marvel’s track record of casting up-and-comers for juicy lead roles, like Chris Hemsworth for Thor and, more recently, Chris Pratt for Guardians of the Galaxy. Boseman has been acting in TV for about a decade now, and had a small role in the 2008 sports film The Express. But it was his starring turn in 42 that really brought him up a notch. Last week, he booked a minor role in Ivan Reitman’s Draft Day, starring Kevin Costner as an NFL manager.

Chadwick looks way too young imo. I knoe in reality hes close to all the other actors ages but he looks pretty young imo. For him to play T'challa would throw me off.

I actually like that choice if they go with Boseman. 42 was incredible. I didn't even know Boseman was in The Express. I thought that was a good movie too. I was convinced that Rob Brown was going to blow and be next up

As hinted at in an interview with Joss Whedon last week, EW says that an unnamed source has confirmed that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver will be assembling alongside Earth's mightiest heroes when Marvel's The Avengers 2 hits the big screen in 2015.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige previously revealed that rights allow for the mutant siblings to appear in both the Marvel cinematic universe and in 20th Century Fox's X-Men universe.
"We both have them," Feige told Superhero Hype last summer. "There's a specific arrangement with those two characters that would allow us to use them with 'Avengers,' but not discuss or reference their mutant or Magneto-related lineage. They can use them as mutants and as Magneto's relatives, but cannot have anything to do with 'The Avengers'."

Not a fan of them and don't care if they show up. IMO I feel they should be working to include Ms/Captain Marvel and Falcon on the team.
Wouldn't mind Boseman as BP. He doesn't really look young to me. Besides he'd be wearing that mask a lot and his acting would be the convincing factor in his seriousness and level of maturity in being a believable BP.

I would like it, I feel they haven't made enough light of Thor not being worthy and Bill would be a nice foil to throw in the mix. Thing is he'd be all cgi so they're probably not going to do it unless it's a cameo of sorts.
Nothing like them. They're basically freaks that have their own kingdom and the main inhumans are the royalty. Heavy sci-fi on their origin and from there's just a lot of cool in the shadows cryptic stuff. They don't have a clear role in the Marvel universe but when they tend to get involved in things it gets turned up a notch.

Chadwick is good actor liked him alot in 42. Djimon as T'chaka would only be fitting. Honestly thats peoples first choice for BP anyway, but he is older (around Downey age) so he wouldn't be doing it forever, but they could really have Chadwick work in the role for a long time. You also theorize that a BP would revolve around Avengers coming to Wakanda or whatever the hell its called
I honestly do not see the appeal of a Antman movies. Dr Strange would be piff, but who gives a **** about Ant-man. I understand he's a integral part of the Avengers, then cool have him show up in the movies, but not his own films.
Again not a fan of them having their own movie, they should just be apart of another story. Honestly I would save the inhumans until FF comes back to Marvel I mostly think of them as their universe.

42 was anything but incredible. However, I'm for whatever it takes to get a Black Panther movie on the screen. Its been long overdue.
