It's a strange casting. Khal Drogo, Conan, and Aquaman make sense, but I'm not sure about this. He might just be trying to collect them checks out here like Bautista and The Rock.

Warner Bros Firms ‘Ocean’s 8’ Lineup: Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling Join Sandra Bullock & Cate Blanchett
Warner Bros has firmed an October start date in New York for Ocean’s Eight, the female-driven caper spinoff directed by Gary Ross, and the studio is closing with its principal cast. Aside from the previously identified Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, deals are close with Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina. The latter is the hip-hop moniker of Asian-American rapper and actress Nora Lum, who most recently had a role in Neighbors 2.
The picture is still casting — the firmed roster so far falls one shy of the title — and there is every possibility for cameos from the stars of the original trilogy, which grossed a collective $1.12 billion worldwide. Ross discussed the possibility of Bullock, Blanchett, Carter and Kaling while he was out promoting his most recent film, the Matthew McConaughey starrer Free State of Jones.
Brad Pitt Courting David Fincher for ‘World War Z’ Sequel (EXCLUSIVE)
After losing director J.A. Bayona to the “Jurassic World” universe, Brad Pitt is zeroing in on an old friend for the “World War Z” sequel.
Sources have told Variety that Pitt, along with Paramount and Skydance, is in talks with David Fincher to direct the follow-up to the 2013 smash hit.
Pitt, who’s returning to star in and produce the next “World War Z” installment, recently met with a handful of other directors, but is said to be zeroing in on Fincher for the pic, which is expected to start filming in early 2017.

Why the **** would they do a remake of oceans 11?

I literally yelled this at my wife when they were assembling the cast. The george clooney one is one of my favorite movies ever. so many quotables, soundtrack is fire too. The original with Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr was great too.
I know I'm being petty but all I see is Sandra Bullock doing her best Clooney impression and Blanchett doing a Pitt impression. I really hope they switch the dynamics also like I hope Awkwafina isn't the rookie Bullock and Blanchett rag on. I actually love the cast(the Actual actresses that is) seperately but collectively not sure. I don't see any of them pulling the Swag out that the other cast had.
I think I just talked myself into watching Ocean's 11
Given the Clooney version is a remake that isn't better than OG either the answer is clear. Why the **** would they do a remake of oceans 11?

Gon' be weird seeing a jacked Crow.
Jason Momoa May Fly With THE CROW After Wielding AQUAMAN's Trident
After previous false starts with Tom Hiddleston, Bradley Cooper, Jack Huston and Luke Evans, Relativity Media is now said to be eyeing the upcoming Justice League star. Corin Hardy (The Hallow), attached to the most recent failed launch starring Luke Evans, is still set to direct the picture.
The biggest clue to the deal actually came from Momoa, who posted a picture with Hardy on Instagram, with the caption, "The only way to officially seal the deal as men Is a pint of black beauty," as the two shared a beer. Today, Mashable has confirmed that the two were sealing the deal on Momoa starring in the reboot of the role of Eric Draven, previously portrayed by Brandon Lee in the fan-favorite 1994 adaptation directed by Alex Proyas.
Mortal Kombat movie update from James Wan
Filmmaker James Wan, whose The Conjuring 2 was a major hit in theaters earlier this summer, has given IGN an update on the status of New Line Cinema and Broken Road’s Mortal Kombat movie, which he is producing.
“It’s still cooking away,” Wan stated. “With that particular project, that’s a really cool property that I loved growing up as a kid. Besides the game, even the movies as well, I kind of enjoyed them for what they are. The key here is to try and do it right. I don’t want to rush into it. So right now, we’re just trying to take our time to make sure it’s heading in the right direction. I think that’s more important than trying to rush through it and pump up something that no one likes. I love the characters. I think they’re such colorful characters. It’s such an amazing take on, basically, ‘Enter the Dragon.’ It’s that fantasy version, the video game version, of ‘Enter the Dragon.’ And in doing so, they ended up creating such interesting characters and I think that is such a cool world to explore. This really mythical, bigger world that lives on another dimension on top of ours. I think that’s really fun to play with and so we’ll see.”
