Next Gen Xbox Reveal Confirmed for May 21

Trust if i could buy my games digital at a reasonable price and had enough memory space i would hardly ever play my games on discs again.

I didnt realize how dope digital games were until they put up Assassins Creed 2 for free last month. The ability to quickly snap into your game from Xbox apps without having to get up and put in a disc is dope.

With the new X1 quick snap feature which lets you switch between games and apps seamlessly, that **** will be even more dope.

The way I understand it is that you buy a game digitally.

-Once you're done with it, for a small fee which you pay MS, you can put the game on the used game marketplace

-The game will have a discounted price comapred to a "new" version but it can't be sold again (I'm assuming)

- What this means is that you either get games cheaper or sell them once you're done to offset your initial purchase. (Kind of like ebay, Buy it Now is quick and convenient while you can get a good deal if you win something in an auction but )

- The fact that games can only be sold once as well will mean people will be in the marketplace constantly scouring for deals and impulse buying. The more people you can attract to the marketplace the better.

-It's like MS original plan for used games but coming in from a digital angle.


The only bad thing is that it sounds like it will be behind Gold/PSN from that survey but that's not surprising. The fact that it mentions PSN could mean Sony might do something similar.

Hopefully it's not the 15th along with the PS4 :lol: Shelling out a stack in one day is not the business.

Xbox One Voice Commands Only Available In 5 Markets at Launch

While we're still waiting on a firm release date for the Xbox One, we now know that the system's much-touted voice command capabilities will be limited to select markets at launch. Spotted by Gamespot, a listing on Xbox.com notes that the console's new Kinect-enabled voice commands will only be available in the US, UK, Canada, France, and Germany when it ships sometime in November. That leaves customers in the other 8 launch regions — including Australia, Mexico, Italy, and others — out of luck until an unspecified later date.

While the exact cause for the staggered rollout is not mentioned, earlier this week Microsoft head of product development Albert Penello discussed language localization as the primary cause for the system's delayed availability in select markets. With the aid of the new and improved Kinect sensor, many of the Xbox One's software can be controlled by simple voice commands, including the ability to power on the system, switch to different programs, and launch apps. In order to make the feature available in all available in the primary languages of each country, including the nuances of regional dialects.

We've reached out to Microsoft for comment.

from what Ive seen from Titanfall, it looks like they have found that sweet spot of fast exciting gameplay, without being super twitchy, as COD has become. Like you wont be able to catch a mech off guard and 1 shot it, then run with super speed and knife another player in the back.
 
When is Titanfall supposed to come out? First or second quarter of 2014?

My purchase of a One will almost certainly be timed around the release of that game.

I feel like it's going to be the new Halo...Microsoft better be scrambling to make that a permanent exclusive.

Q1 of next year.

It'll stay exclusive if respawn makes use of the kinect.
 
I hope it stays exclusive then maybe some of my friends will buy a x1

The first game of the month is always trash on games for gold
