Smith is a bum, but Moss will probably be used in redzone situations mostly and that is literally a flick of the wrist.
Coach Jim Harbaugh indicated that Alex Smith has "separated himself" even further from the 49ers backup quarterbacks during offseason practices.
"He's the solid starter," said Harbaugh. "I don't think anybody questions that." Watching 49ers minicamp, ex-scout and current NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks noted that Smith was working quickly through his reads to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers while also showing improved footwork and pocket fundamentals resulting in more "velocity and zip." I think that Seattle's rationale is basically this...
week 17, 2011 Season, Lions @ Packers.
Matt Flynn...31/44-480-6-1....
In other words they figure, "hey, if we can surround this guy with a slew of offensive weapons like he had in GB then there's no way he won't produce".....
ehhh.....I guess....
I mean if he can do it with Jordy, Jermichael, Jones and Driver (Jennings wasn't playing) then I mean T.O, Rice, Edwards, Baldwin, Winslow and Tate may suffice in a weak NFC West.
It'll be two talented defenses, with two garbage QBs (let's be cereal guise, c'mon..........okay I'll give Flynn the benefit of the doubt for now), with two high-powered* offenses dueling it out for the top spot in the West. Yes, that does mean I'm writing off the Rams and Cardinals, they're both supremely garbage.
*Remains to be seen in both cases, the 49ers were by no means "high-powered" last season. As far as the "Hawks go, Skittles McGee was pretty much the only bright-side on that team last season.
But really I'm a Giants fan at the end of the day so to hell with both of these garbage
On offense, maybe. That Defense was something else, though. They might possess the best secondary in the league.*Remains to be seen in both cases, the 49ers were by no means "high-powered" last season. I like Flynn obviously and I will root for him but I seriously see Russel Wilson coming out as the better QB. Russel had it at Wisconsin, hes got all the tools. Although I see Flynn starting because of the contract he got Pete Carol is still saying he likes what he is seeing and the spot is up in the air for Russel to take.

which is exactly what I said...
talented defense, talented offense on paper held back and stagnated by Alex Smith.
Can we stop talking about the NFC West now, please?
I'm talking about the Seahawks.

There's going to be a female Official on the field Thursday night for the Pack pre-season opener... What do yall think about that?

Is her name Brittney Griner?
If not she better keep her head on a swivel, how many times have we seen an official get caught in the crossfire?

This is the NFL discussion thread bro...If you want to talk Jets, Cowboys, or Peyton Manning ad nausea then I'd suggest you visit ESPN. Talking football like this is always interesting no matter if it's the worst team/divsion or best.
If you do want to talk about something else then just bring it up my man.
Ive never been a fan of over paying for other teams back up QBs...... their back up QBs for a reason and 9/10 time they dont work out....
Carrol's defense gonna carry them to another sub par season in 7-9, watch.
