@ grouping Big Ben in that 3rd tier.

Roethlisberger has proven himself to be one of the more reliable QBs in late game, crunch time situations.

Can't say the same for the other QBs Hustlin Hoffman grouped him with and one them is the QB of my team.

*Sigh*

I see Ben in a tier of his own. He's a tricky character to evaluate. It's hard to compare him to others as well. I wouldn't group him with Brady Rodgers Brees but I definitely wouldn't group him with those pretty good scrubs like romo and cutler. But who cares the guy wins and has rings. Steeler fans can go into every season feeling comfortable that they have a QB who is capable of winning a Super Bowl. We like to appreciate Rodgers cause of his footwork, Brees cause of his accuracy, Brady cause of his noggin but Ben deserves a ton of credit for how tough he is. He's been getting his *** kicked year in year out since got in the league and you just can't get him off the field. Not only does he play injured but he still performs well injured. You guys saying the defense did the work. Hell no Ben has carried that team literally on one leg multiples times..literally one leg. Ben goes in the awesome category.

Everyone was chatting about Brady getting a bloody nose or whatever it was a few weeks ago. Ben broke his nose and that thing was looking like the letter S. slapped on a visor and went back to work :smokin

Great post fam :hat Very on point.

wonder what happens if the Giants repeat and Eli takes another ring and MVP title.....

then we repeat and Eli wins another ring and Superbowl MVP.

Honestly? Let's make the playoffs first. We've got a tough match-up against Frisco. We're 0-2 within our division and we just allowed 27 points to the Browns.

Let's temper expectations a bit.

im not really worried, its become a trend for the Giants to perform very good agaisnt superior teams and fail terribly to the teams they should wipe their *** with....seems like that underdog tag is what fuels them most.

but my post was just directed at the fact that hes so underrated no matter what he does or who he beats....i wouldnt trade Eli for Rodgers, Brees or Brady....no thank you.

Expectations need to be high. We dominated teams the last 6 games of the season. Once ee got healthy we were by far the best team in the league. Once again we haven't been healthy. You can't really judge the Giants so far this season. We still have a winning record and have had so many injuries it is unreal. Just last week we played without Nicks, Barden, Bernard, Rivers, Phillips, Hosley, Canty, Brown. We were starting a late round pick from Germany who just started playing football and a guy who didn't play for 3 years at DT. Any NFL O would be able to play decent against that. We have to have the most significant injuries in the NFL this year. We have had atleast 1 game missed by Bradshaw, Brown, Nicks, Hixon, Barden, Beatty, Diehl, Beckum, Canty, Bernard, Rivers, Phillips, Hosley, Amukama, Terrell Thomas, Sash(Suspension). That is just off the top of my head. That is almost 1/3 of our team. Eli has had 4 WRs put up over 100 yards. Also another WR & TE with over 75.

As far as that QB debate goes I would put it like this in tiers, but no order in the tiers.

Tier 1
Brady, Rodgers, Eli, Brees

Tier 2
Peyton, Roethlisberger

Tier 3
Rivers, Romo, Ryan

Tier 4
Schaub, Cutler, Flacco, Stafford

I was just talking to a friend who is an Eagles fan and he basically agreed about Eli. Since the beginning of last season until now I would be tempted to put Eli as the best QB in the league. The yards, TDs, QB Rating & Completion % have been very good. He set an NFL record for 4th quarter TD passes and comrbacks in a single season. Went head to head in the playoffs with the top QBs and beat them (Brady, Rodgers & Ryan) also took a beating from the best D in the league on the road and he still got us the W. For the second time threw 9 TDs and only 1 INT in the entire playoffs. A Pro Bowl, Super Bowl MVP and a Super Bowl all in the past 26 games. There isn't a QB who has accomplished more in that span. Please don't try to say it was the defense either. Our D was attrocious for basically the whole season last year. If it wasn't for Eli playing great we wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs. Not to mention we had the worst run game in the league last year.

I don't think the East is gonna come down to that game. I think the Giants will have it wrapped up. The Eagles can't win much longer with Vick playing like this. If he gets pulled/injured their season is over. One of the two will happen. Their 3 wins are by what a combined 4 points? If it wasn't for the Browns being the Browns and terrible play calling by the Giants the Eagles would be 1-4. All the Giants had to do was run the ball one or two more times not get a penalty and it was a Giants W. We just had to throw a deep pass to Barden like he is Calvin "******" Johnson and lost the game because of it. Smh

thought you were gonna miss that part.....on ESPN they have the nerve to start talk of Alex Smith being elite :rollin bro if i had that type of supporting cast id be elite too....the fact that Eli has done it all with such young unknown receivers, a terrible running game and injuries all over the place, says enough about how Elite he is....dude literally carried our team, ran through the best teams/qbs in the league ON THE ROAD anddddd won a superbowl against what most consider the best QB to ever do it.....TWICE

thats not elite enough for ya?...not sure if srs.

There isn't a QB in NFL history that I would rather have. After the Ravens SB I didn't think I was ever gonna see one. Luckily Eli changed that pretty quickly. He will get us atleast one more. I think two more though.

Too many virgins.

TERRY BRADHSHAW + STEEL CURTAIN > ALL!

Nuff said.

Marino + Montana + J.Kelly + Elway for you rooks would take all those guys to school, except maybe Manning + Brady.

Brady + Peyton are in a league of their own. There's no argument about that, they are both HOF locks w/o any doubt.

UNITAS > ALL . Brees isn't even in the same sentence at unitas.

My God. You 2 just took turns outclowning each other post by post.

First guy says Eli literally carried the Giants running through the best teams/qbs in the league by himself

Then next guy one ups with "There isn't a QB in NFL history that I would rather have"

This dude said in NFL History...

wait, Eli didnt carry the Giants?? did we have Larry Fitz and Calvin Johnson caliber receivers???....we were dead last in rushing....besides our Dline, our defense was subpar to say the least.....so you tell me who carried that team?...please stop.

lol word the giants trash-*** defense that held the falcons to TWO points, then held the #1 seed in the nfc to 15 pts under their regular season total at home.

its all eli.

and yes, eli over Montana, Brady, Elway,  COMBINED with any other qb in nfl history + lasers and a deal to end world hunger.  LOL

it took 2 kyle williams fumbles and that b.s no fumble call on bradshaw to get to the superbowl.. but nvm its Eli aka zeus himself who is responsible for all of the giants success in life.

smh@ "there isnt an qb in nfl history i rather have"

yeah the defense mostly the Dline, did their thing, but the defense wasnt putting the numbers up on the board like Eli was, specially in those 4th quarters when it actually mattered.....why is so hard for some of you to just give the man his credit....what places Brees, Rodgers and Brady in such a high pedestal that no one should dare say Eli belongs there with them??

you gonna try and tell me there is a more clutch QB in the league than Eli??....Brees, Rodgers or Brady more clutch than Eli??....the man is a hell of a QB and hes only getting better.

You straight sound like you hopped on the bandwagon last season.

Defense was subpar? The Giants Defense limited all opponents to no more than 20 points in all 4 playoff games. The D limited two of the best offenses ( GB and NE) to 20 and 17 points collectively. 17 to SF and just 2 points to ATL. Does Eli play defense as well?

" Did we have Larry Fitz and Calvin Johnson caliber receivers?" Those are the 2 best receivers in the league. Theres no one else in that caliber in the NFL last season. But the Giants had two of the top 15 WRs in the league in Nicks and Cruz.

And the Giants ran for 170 on Falcons, 95 on the Packers, and 115 on the Patriots. Last in the regular season doesnt mean they didnt put in work for the postseason.

Please explain to me how Eli "carried" the Giants.

for what its worth eli is top 5 to me but i'd still take prime peyton, brady, brees and rodgers of current nfl qbs ahead of eli. (eli now being ahead of peyton)

its not all sb victories either. peyton has only 1 sb victory but he is a better qb than eli. dude has 4 fkin mvps for fks sake. lets not forget peyton manning's swag here.

but to stay in 2012, eli is top 5. big gargoyle ben rounding out the top 5

but yea, kyle williams 2 fumbles and the bradshaw non fumble call = another illuminati move like when the lakers stole gasol.

that game still haunts my dreams :(

Doesnt matter if Eli is 'Elite" or not. Hes a great quarterback, I'd take him on my team any day. But the Eli slopping on the last page was ridiculous.
