obviously you've never been to general chat if you're underestimating dudes need to make their day to day activities public.

I do. I think they used the gang stuff as an excuse that was easier to justify. He didn't have the same gang ties they allege he did all these years? Just now it's an issue?
Well the difference is before it was with Andy and now it's with Chip. Obviously, considering with what he did for Vick, Andy's one to give people the benefit of the doubt.

You don't think chip recruited kids with possible gang ties in college?

I guess im getting old . Dont have an IG

When i was growing up goons kept their business under wraps.

Times have changed apparently. Carry on :lol

But that's a different dynamic in my opinion. For his college kids to play football, they had to give effort or they would potentially get cut and go back to their old life. DeSean made his money (a lot of it too) so he could show up late and half-*** his way through things and he'd still get paid.

Why don't we hold all these people in the media responsible for the stories they put out.

This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Do you know anyone that played or plays in the NFL. NFL players have all kinds of clauses in their contract and yes they can be docked or fined for being late or halfway doing things. They have bosses on different levels and answer to people just like you do on your job. They get paid twice a month or monthly like other people. Also remember everyone that owns a NFL team is a business person and that NFL team is not their main business it is a side business.

Look at Jerimiah Masoli, dude was lighting it at QB for the Ducks. Got into trouble, Chip suspended him for the year and ultimately he got the boot.

There could be more to it with Desean, but it seems Chip aint going to put up with guys who put themselves before the team.

Well, I'm not going to pretend like I know the nuances of NFL contracts but isn't the guaranteed money guaranteed regardless of what they do? That's why the Skins suffered from Haynesworth all these years, right? For some players, potentially DeSean, once they see that guaranteed money they revert back to old, terrible habits that they got away with at the lower levels.

Well that's going to be a tough situation for him when he realizes that you can't treat professionals like college kids and expect to just turn around and replace the talent.

I don't see the problem with him wanting a professional to act like, you know, a professional though.

His college coach is the OC in Tampa now.. Also didn't show any interest

It doesn't tell you anything that Andy wasn't interested in Desean?

Maybe them being pressed up against the cap the next two years and having to resign half their defense and Alex Smith has something to do with it

@ anyone that thinks the Eagles didn't use the media for their PR spin campaign. **** was blatant as hell.

Once Adam Schefter got on TV and said they chose to take the hit and release him (rather than a trade) because they didn't feel right shifting his problems on someone else...that confirmed all my suspicions.

Eagles had every right to cut him and that part of it doesn't bother me. I actually DO believe it was mostly due to football and work ethic issues with Chip and I'm not stuck on the whole Cooper thing. But let's be real here...they knew for a while they were moving on without him, knew the decision would be controversial, and felt they had to craft it in a way to not look bad. Not the first time a team chose to operate that way and it won't be the last. I don't respect it though.
