As far as the Eagles releasing Jackson, ok I understand you were tired of him crying for a new deal and sick of his lack of work ethic, but why not just say that instead of going through all the trouble of making it look like he is affiliated with gang members? Just say we got sick of him and keep it moving.

like i said, i think they threw the gang ties in after the fact as their way of justifying it. like he didn't have these same ties all last season? i'd be naive to say it had no part, but i think there's much more behind the scenes than we got to see.

Yeah I mean Stillin is usually on point, but he is clearly coming from the home-fan perspective of a lot of Philly fans in this case. Which is that they want to believe their management is making smart decisions/doing things for the right reasons etc., and they're going to see what they want to see to believe that.
Now they could be right, but I have to agree with LlamaDavid and others that the evidence so far points to Philly handling this in a way that's unfair to DeSean and could be questionable for their football team.
Of course Sherm was right, as always.

I am def looking at it from a fan's perspective but I just have a hard time believing they would do that but maybe my view has just been tainted.
I am also in the minority when it comes to defending the team; most fans around here are pretty heated about all this stuff. Chip is going to really prove this move was the right thing to do because he is taking a lot of heat right now.
