I didn't like how Minnesota handled it from start. I think they should let him go. That doesn't mean I agree with AP beating his child like that. Minnesota kind of turned on him, once he was cleared they want him and need him? Kind of weak. Either stand by him the whole time or let him go.
Exactly.

If they were really soo upset and thought his actions were soo bad, why is he still on the roster?
because they employ him to play football.. that doesn't give them an obligation to support him abusing his child

I'm sure he didn't intend to hit his scrotum. (I'm sure you know that as well but it doesn't fit your stance.)

Hence where i said he made a mistake and went too far.

This man does not deserve to be run out of the league for whooping his kid.

Miss me with this pretend pc ******** the NFL is full of **** they've got a team named after a damn racial slur that the owner openly refuses to change but yea lets lay the hammer down on the guy who whooped his kid.

Roger Goodell watched a tape of a 200lb man slugging his girl and didn't give a **** this isn't about doing the right thing it's about finding some fall guys.

Meanwhile dudes get accused of rape multiple times and i dont see anybody trying to run Rothlisberger out the league....

right off the bat you dismissed what he did as no big deal

it's fine if that is how you think but don't try and retract it to support your 2015 Free Adrian Peterson campaign

Exactly, you guys are so ready to jump on someone defending a situation you don't even know the origin of the defense is :{ .. too busy thinking guys are saying "free adrian peterson" has to do with him harming a child when it doesn't.

Like Banks just said "I just don't think he should have to stay with a team that didn't support him and probably doesn't even want him around, but they couldn't find a deal they like." ... Had the whole state and politicians turning on the guy, Mall of America removing his merchandise, etc.. Not saying they were wrong to do what they did, but would you want to go back to a situation like that if it was you? That's what Free Adrian Peterson is about. In simplistic terms, both parties need to go their separate ways opposed to trying to force a relationship that's no longer there.

So you think he should just be able to walk away from a contract? Wouldn't that void the purpose of teams signing contracts and the existence of them?

What I think is, in this case, both parties should go their separate ways. Find a deal that works for everyone opposed to "he can play for us or not play at all."

Same way I would think the Ravens and Ray Rice should move on if he was still under contract.

So, the team is at fault for what Mall of America did?
Or what politicians said?

They paid him a ton of money while he did nothing for their team. They didn't cut him like Rice, Hardy, McDonald, etc.

They distanced themselves, absolutely. They let the situation play out, but paid him every cent.

Without that money, fairly good chance he's in much bigger legal trouble, no? Photos, doctors, ex, the child, pretty good case against him. But he didn't go to jail.

Thing is, BEFORE this happened, there was the article of him calling Jerry Jones.
When the Cowboys lost Murray, they didn't draft another RB, or sign anyone of importance.

Almost like......AP WANTS to be cut free, just so he can go where he already wanted to.

That's what this is all about. Not the Vikings "not standing by his side", cuz, the mall. :lol

For some reason, I feel sympathetic towards Adrian Peterson

I feel like hes a good dude, who got in trouble and is now a little confused and hurt

Huge shock there.

Freeing AP... lol.
Blackmon and Gordon are victims too...
Hernandez was n the wrong place at the wrong time all those times...
Rice was being overly affectionate...

This ENTIRE situation stems from him beating the dog sh-t out of his child. Saying Free AP is essentially calling him the victim in something He brought on to himself. Had he never beaten the dog sh-t out of his child, would ANYONE be saying "Free AP"?

This is like saying you cant be upset if the police kill an unarmed "suspect" because it's his fault for being a "suspect".

I wish someone would not support me to the tune of almost 13 million dollars

I'm 99% sure cash banks was in here when this first popped off with the attitude of "it isn't that big a deal"

If I'm wrong I apologize.

You are wrong and your apology is accepted.

these were my thoughts

"What he did was wrong he clearly ****** up, but people make mistakes.I just think dude should be allowed to play football. He's already missed the 6 games he should for a 1st offense, make him pay back the cash, The End"

If that's ALL you think then why is there an issue? He is allowed to play. He held out because he wanted to get More money... Said he is going back today...
If that's ALL, then there is no argument... correct?

Alot of y'all are really failing to realize that the NFL is a bottom line grimey butt business!

Thats why you cant compare it to your job

Or say this guy did that, why did he get cut?

Adrian Peterson is on their roster because hes the best running back of this generation , if he did what Ray Rice or Ray McDonald did he'd still be on the roster because his value to the organization

Thats why when people say Peterson is lucky or Vikings paid his salary, therefore he was supported, its laughable

You clearly missed my point CP.

Point is/was both parties should go their separate ways after a messy situation like this. No need to fake it or try to force the situation to work.

:lol

Same cats advocating for the lowly, hurt, abused football player. (Gordon, Rice, AP, Hardy)

how is this messy for the Vikings?

You don't think the Vikings want this hoopla around this situation to go away? You don't think the organization as whole is tired of it being about Adrian Peterson?
