What's up Niketalk family. I've made many a friend and a foe on this site. I grew up on NT and have watched this community come together to support those with a cause (from helping
ksteezy
win a J. Crew photoshoot, to create a National Trucker coalition, and even recently to save a conservative cat owned by

). Today I ask the same. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I went through some personal and family emergencies that caused me to be without a shelter/home from NOV-JAN. Luckily I pulled through and was able to find a place to call home. As I recovered, my private practice began to struggle as a result of the shut down by COVID-19. As I see it now, I will not be able to recover unless I recruit the help of many kind hands. I have exhausted resources, including SBA. I have sold off sneakers. I have done as much as I can and I currently do still.
I come humbly and with embarrassment to ask any NTer who has the means right now to help me with a hand up. My private practice isn't just a small business. For me it is my passion. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and I work with a range of clients. My specialty is couples counseling, anxiety management, and also culture identity. The help you will provide will allow me to cover expenses such as my office. More importantly, it will allow me to portion of a piece of my caseload as free service (I provide families of low income and minority hardships with free counseling).
If you ever suffered from these issues, or have family or friends who have currently or in the past, you know how hard it to for people to find the proper help. My goal is to provide the people who need it the most, but aren't financial capable to request such assistance, with the same quality of therapy help as more expensive practices.
