Texas Chainsaw Massacre is only scary if your like 12 or 11 years old. No disrespect.

Once again. Cannibal Holocaust is the scariest move known to man. Banned in Italy, UK, and Australia.
Hostel is just gore. No fear factor at all...
Now if you show her an Japanese horror she may think your sick.

god damn...
Cannibal holocaust is just grim, barbaric (to western standards), and gory. It's not really "scary" considering most of the movieis shot in daylight

things dont "pop" out at you aswell. So no, it is not scary.

. I hope you're kidding...
The original > remake. As far as I'm concerned, that remake never happened.
The original was just creepy. I guess it's scary that it all happens in daylight (meaning it could happen at anytime) but I thought it wasfunnier than it was scary.

If you haven't seen these you don't know horror. Straight up.

I have never understood why anyone would waste their time watching a horror movie or even liking them for that matter...

What would make you want to watch some serial killer tearing body after body to nothing...what could you possibly enjoy out of that? Not to mention the actingis always horrible. I've asked this question many times and the answer I always get back is that it's a different kind of thrill that you can'texperience anywhere else (unless you are actual in one of those situations which is highly unlikely). But why would you ever want to feel that thrill? I meanya'll really want to know what it'd feel like to be hunted down by some cannibalistic serial killer

...not me noooo thank you.

The only horror film I've ever actually enjoyed is The Shining. That was actually pretty brilliant...Jack Nicholson at his best in my opinion, which isvery hard to do in a horror film.

You cant choose from 8 films to die for. Thats cheating. I havent seen Martyrs yet though.
Remember this dude is watching these with a chick.

And that Frontieres poster made me think about High Tension. Which would be another good choice.

Good List but you lost me on the Devils Rejects.

That movie was a laughfest. Especially the chicken part.
And High Tension was another ego/personality movie.
As for Wolf Creek it is def one of the better horrors to be put out in past years.
I watched Quarantine last weekend. It was kinda predictable but great concept...and ending.

I really wouldn't recommend watching any of those movies if you're into American horror flicks. Once you see those movies you won't be able to getscared or get into the movie any more.

dont know if its considered "art house" but the Spanish film [rec] was excellent. It was truly the last film that actually scarred the @#$! out ofme. I dont think anyone has mentioned it in this thread which is kinda surprising.
