Philly stupid enough the do stat and draft pick for Noel?

I've said this before, I love bledsoe's game, but the only way we get him here is a max or near max contract. And I don't know if I'm ready I use it on him

We still retain his rights. But if he goes to the d league, pause, he counts against the cap and takes a roster spot.

idk if thats actually true. i know the d league salary is like $25k, so even if that does affect our cap, which i doubt, it isnt much. also, i dont think he'll be taking up a roster spot if he isnt on the actual roster.

i would of preferred that he plays in europe. he'll probably gain more experience over there and also get paid more.

however, i do see a good chance of us calling him up from the d league if we suffer an injury (hopefully not).

Trade proposals for Bledsoe since PHX is trying to get rid of him? 8o

A pg on the cusp of greatness would be great right now.

Where'd you see that? I saw that they just don't wanna offer the max and they'll match whatever anyone puts out there. They want him to take the Lowry deal I think. I'd love to get him though. If they had the room, I would give him the max. Best case scenario, he takes the QO and becomes unrestricted next year. Next offseason, I believe Goran is a free agent as well. Doubt they will bring both back, especially with IT.

If he plays in out D-League squad he will still be learning to play in this system. Wouldnt be surprised if he was called up at some point.

The plan was to have 2 scoring pg's on the floor at all times but Bledsoe wants the max. I hate when money ruins an entertaining squad

The only pros to Alphabet going to the D-League is him learning the Triangle and being able to get called up. I would've preferred him to either get on the actual squad or go to Europe where he can just learn the game better in general and get paid in this process. D-League guys get paid like janitors.

If you were Philly, why on Earth would you do that trade? You take a young defensive prospect, who has the instincts and natural ability to become one of the elite defensive bigs in the game... for a mid-first round pick from New York and 1 year of Amare... for a team that's rebuilding. That's the kind of trade that should get you fired on the spot if you're a GM.

Cap room would be my guess.

Philly has nothing but cap room, they don't need a huge expiring... and it would make sense to trade for a big expiring in exchange for a large salary for longer years.. not for a rookie on a cheap contract. Maybe you could say they'd trade for a big contract to hit the salary floor, but the penalty on that isn't even a real penalty, so it doesn't really matter if they hit it or not.

And if they have nothing but bigs, why would they need or want Amare.. another big?

You're not getting a guy who should have been the #1 pick and who can be a top defender for years to come in exchange for 2014 Amare.

No I was saying for yall to suggest some trade proposals we could do for him since I've seen it's been reported PHX is looking to trade him.

For a low-budget night out, East Village. Continental to pregame, $2 beers and 5 for $10 shots. Followed by the row of karaoke spots around the corner.

Several of you guys had sent me PM's a few weeks ago regarding summer internships for the company I work for. Our 10-week Summer Analyst program has concluded recently and I wanted to update you guys on the "figures" concerning retention and full-time offers.

Within my group, we had about 12 Summer Analysts (There were about 50 brought in company wide). There was 8 males and 4 females. Mostly all of them coming from top Ivy league schools. We did have a few kids from Baruch and Fordham.

Out of the 12 kids we had this summer, we only gave full-time offers to 2 of them.

One is a female from Columbia University and the other is a male from NYU. Not sure what their salaries are, but It's a safe bet to say it's anywhere between $82-85k before taxes and bonuses.

We also had some interns who started this summer as well, but they weren't in the 10-week Summer Analyst program (usually it's open to Juniors). I can't remember how many interns started, but 1 will be staying for the remainder of the year working in my group. I believe he's a sophomore attending NYU as well. Not sure what his pay is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's anywhere between $25-27/hour. Interns are only allowed to work 3 days out of the week when school is in session. When school is not in session, they can work full-time.

Here are some of the qualities we look for when deciding who to give offers to:

-Adaptability
-Ability to learn
-Work Ethic
-Willingness to go above and beyond
-Attention to detail
-Team player attitude
-Displays the ability to efficiently work
-Looks for solutions instead of identifying issues
-Good fit with group culture and personality (Probably the most important attribute)

^ Props for the info and willingness to help others. We can align in that regard, making a positive impact on NT.

Surprised at 2/12 given how short staffed banks are these days. I remember a lot more people getting offers, but my jr year summer was 09. Also read yesterday that gs and bofa are upping base salaries to analysts since they're losing all their talent to tech/startups and the buyside, so I would figure they're desperate for young people and would be hiring more aggressively.

I left the industry this year (used to be a SS equity research associate) and I've never been happier. Too much bs and tbh the money isn't there at banks anymore
