there's a good chance that we wouldn't be in the top 4

we are being tied up tooooooo much with this.

KING RIECE i usually agree with most of the stuff you say, but come on bro. We are giving up way too much, Gallo should not be include. And if we include Mozgov, the only legit center we have, for a dude named JR +**%$!% Smith? seriously? You want another 3pt chucker and black hole on this team? We already gonna have Billups who takes more 3s than any other PG, still thinks he's mr.big shot, and cannot run a pick roll any better than felton.
I dunno i just think we're giving up way too much. I mean i hate felton, but i dont even want billups at this point.
Source says he is going to NJ if deal with knicks doesnt happen or he would resign with denver. He doesnt want to lose 50 milOriginally Posted by Zyzz
if im the Knicks im not even making a deal, why lose several key players when this summer you can sign him and lose only 1 player to free agency.
says melo is disgusted with the time it's taken for the knicks to put out a great deal for him. pissed off at the knicks for playing around.
%%@ is he pissed at us for?
Because Walsh & Co. are protectin' the team from gettin' raped, no lube? Because we're actually trying to put a team around this guy? I understand that you've gotta give up, to get...esp a player like Carmelo, but come on...that revamped proposal was good enough, now you want Mozgov? F... outta here.
All I keep hearing is how Favors is better than anything we've offered....yeah, cause I want a player with all this "potential" who averages 20 mins, 6 pts, and 5 boards on a 17 win team. I mean...this cat is getting outplayed by Kris Humphries. So exactly, how is he that much better than a Gallo, or Fields (Who is the 3rd best rookie behind Griffin & Wall)
In the end...Carmelo can go blame himself. Dude decided to take that extra salary instead of the opt-out clause like Lebron, Dwade, etc. Since we're living in post Lebron "decision" era, players are concerned with protecting their image and that is where Carmelo F'ed up...dude should've made his intentions known from jump...because it clearly isn't about winning, as he has claimed.

And if Melo is really concerned about getting paid (instead of winning) and will go to the Nets because he cares about an extra 15 million then he could go to hell too.
If it's true that isiah and dolan are running this show, I hope donnie walsh quits
I mean we went from giving up maybe 2/3 to giving them half a roster in one day. I don't think its a coincidence we lost all our leverage right after dolan has a meeting with melo. This thing has isiahs fingerprints.
This. I might have been reading wrong since my last post but now they want Moz and Fields too? They can hold that deal.
It's obvious Isaiah is advising Dolan. No way Donnie even lets it get to that point. He's too experienced and shrewd. And knowing Dolan all he cares about is his guitar so he probably didnt even know how to negotiate.
Next thing you know, Donnie doesnt extend and Thomas is back running the organization to the ground again.
Too much politics.
Carmelo Anthony may be close to joining the Knicks, widely thought to be his first choice, and some are wondering if he has ever seriously entertained joining the Nets by extending his contract with a trade to New Jersey.
A rival executive said, it "looks like the Nets have been used for leverage," referring to Denver's desire to extract a higher price from New York.
Yahoo! Sports cites a person close to Anthony who says the All-Star forward has never shown a strong inclination to commit to playing for the Nets.
"A source close to Anthony said the forward has never shown much, if any, interest privately in joining the Nets," wrote Marc J. Spears.
