**Official '11 NYK LOCKOUT thread*** lockout over

Get 'Melo just do this...If Mozgov if holding up this deal I don't know what to say.

Amar'e + Melo = better chance for Dwight/CP3/D.Will and that is the only thing that matters

Damn !%$ Broussard saying if the Melo deals goes down Nets r gonna send 2 picks to Denver for Moz + Gallo or Will or Felton

If that's true, then I gotta say that was well played by Prokhorhov...

I guess I'm a fool for being strangely optimistic still. I still feel like we'll benefit greatly in the end....

OK...well played.
So the Knicks marketed them...sold them...made them fans...and then NJ cashes in, because instead of faceless rookies who might not turn out, they get good local names that already have a fanbase.

the media is really hyping this thing up more than it is really...the knicks cant be overconfident and cocky thinking they are the only one in the bidding for melo... denver and new jersey are also competing for melo so thats 3 teams... he has made it clear where his preference is and thats the knicks but if the knicks don't get this deal done he just wants that extension really...and i'm not buying into this isiah thing... theres no doubt thats dolans friend but theres really no proof that isiah had any influence...as much as i hate the way dolan is doing this trade by giving in too much compared to donnie it shows that hes trying to get this deal done and not wait for the summer...call him dumb for not trusting donnie but im sure if this trade wasn't done there would be a lot of people complaining....and i do think donnie will get that extension because he gets the job done at the end of the day... but this trade is first priority...dolan does reward people like when isiah almost brought the knicks to the playoffs he gave isiah an extension at the middle of the year...with that being said this trade is more than fair and adding anything more is OD so no go on fields and mosgov

how is that not collusion?

"we will drive the price up, if you give us gallo or felton"
"ok sure. good thing melo and dolan are going along with this"

also how would denver do even more %*** if melo just said free agency/knicks or nothing? they asked for the entire starting line up except amare... literally. fields, felton, moz gallo, chandler, plus picks

AMP the second we give them mozgov, theyw ill ask for fields. they' ve been doing that since their deal with jersey. it's transparent

first gallo was holding up the deal

now mozgov is holding up the deal?

then fields will be holding up the deal, and alot of you will stilll be like, whaaat? fields is holding up a deal for melo? get it done, throw him him. i've never seen so many people so eager to get +@%$#% in the ###

^ i agree man... this is why i said this deal is more than fair... anything more is OD and the knicks would be DUMB if they add more...lets be realistic the original deal wasn't going to happen and was a pipedream... wilson, curry, randolph 1st pick and brewer for melo...so adding gallo was the icing on the cake and it was inevitable but had to be done

haha yeah great minds think alike

you go boy yeah i agree that was a pipe dream, not gonna happen unless he came in the off season. i'm much more pissed about felton's inclusion in the deal but i wouldn't hold a deal off for him

the pick is where i knew we were getting screwed already

but past that nope. we get them crazy savings, gallo, chandler, and a good point guard and locker room leader on an excellent contract. that's more than enough. the end. not a cent more

Nuggets, Knicks Working Towards Deal; Stern Didn't Want Announcement On Sunday

The Nuggets and Knicks appear to be closing in on a trade that would send All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony to New York.

The two teams continued to talk throughout the weekend and are believed to be putting the finishing touches on an agreement.

NBA commissioner David Stern did not want a blockbuster trade announced on the day of the All-Star Game.

According to NBA sources, the latest version of the trade would see New York send Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry, Timofey Mozgov and a first-round pick to Denver for Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams and either Anthony Carter or Renaldo Balkman.

"I said I hoped to have a word by today, one way or another," Anthony said Sunday after the All-Star Game. "I've been up early dealing with this and all the festivities, but the night is still young on this side (of the country)."

Nuggets officials are also talking about a deal with the Nets, but that trade is less likely because Anthony hasn't indicated he would sign a contract extension with New Jersey.

"I haven't talked to anybody today from the Denver Nuggets organization," Anthony said, "so as of right now, I'm still a Nugget."

with the possible new cba, i dont think we would have the cap space to sign either one of them to a max contract.

I agree with this to an extent, but do you honestly think a lineup Gallo+Mozgod will take away from Knicks' fans that can be rooting for Amar'e+Carmelo?
laugh.gif
These are the same two guys that Knicks fans are begging the Knicks to get rid of if it means getting Carmelo

The Nets just hustled us..... We've been bamboozled this whole time. Good Job Mikhail, i hope Bruce Willis goes yippy kay yay on you.

I'm sure that conversation happened too.

I think the dialogue is gonna turn pretty quickly when people realize the players we trade could end up in NJ.
I mean, we were in charge of this until 'certain people' became a part of it. And there's no reverse flow on where we're at. It'll cost this much or more, or we don't trade for him.

If it, at all, felt like we were being well represented...we'd know that we had 3 days to work out a new trade, probably multi-team. And if that didn't work

And this isn't collusion, just crafty business (real hustle).

There's the team that bounced back from 50 losses to damn near the playoffs and the team that's been a contender for the better part of a decade...but no...the 12-win team with a foreign 1st time owner and reshuffled front office, team and coach is the one that's got their heads right, pratically doing the work for the Nuggets.

smh its this russian dudez rookie year and hes already hustling dudes from his office in the swamp. once they move to bk he'll have even power ability to hustle. he said it from the beginning that his plan was to convert knicks fans, and if that goes down then so far he's been putting his best effort toward it.

i think an underrated part of this situation is that walsh doesnt have a contract extension. denver is raping us knowing walsh's job depends on it cuz dolan is a @*!#$# idiot and doesnt realize donnie can't be replaced. oh wait isiah can do a better job. i cant believe we're getting butt raped and couldnt even pry away a servicible role player like jr or afflalo. its already bad that stat is being ran to the ground, but no we're gunna watch it happen to two stars and an old $+! chauncey billups. oh wait at least we're getting anthony carter to back him up
pimp.gif

^ who cares Melo>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gallo+ Chandler , for now I dont mind Chauncey running the point and having Carter as a back up until either Dwill or CP3 come, fields starts, amare starts, Get earl barron or turiaf... and fill the bench until the offseason when we can attract some cheap role players...

billups
fields
melo
stat
*Barron/Turiaf....

well balanced offense and defense

lol and the dream team in 2012
