Brewer would be a nice defensive addition to any team. I don't see what he really adds that Marion doesn't, though.

Brewer might have been the best defender on the Wolves, but that ain't saying much. (Darko better?) He can also sign with the Bulls and just roll all those SGs they have into one.

What's his potential?
His defense is being overrated too. He doesn't shoot well enough and shoots too often.
Contenders are interested in him because it won't hurt to bring him in and see if it works, the Knicks don't need more wing players we need frontcourt help. Not to mention they're hoping Azubuike is able to play soon.

"Trying" and "being good at it" are two completely different things, though. Brewer should not be recognized for great or even good defense. Whatever he had coming into the NBA disappeared.
